Can you really do it? Is it true that you can build a car in your own garage that runs purely on water power? Yes it is. After all, we've had steam engines for at least a couple of centuries now. But, would building a steam powered car be inexpensive, reasonably doable by someone with average skill, or quick? No, it would not pass that set of criteria.
The greatness of America comes from the fact that if we don't like the answer, we will change the question. So, let's do that.
Can we build a water/gasoline hybrid vehicle in our garage? Now that my friend, is something we can do.
Will it be cheap? It depends on your definition of "cheap". My definition includes the amount of time that my investment in plans/information, materials, and building time is recouped by fuel cost savings. I figure that once the cost is made up, it is like getting a tax free raise in pay. Between fuel costs going up every day, the economy, and the tax mans bite; That is a real benefit.
How can water fuel a car if not by steam? The process known as electrolysis separates water into base components. One component created is HHO or "Browns Gas". This gas has similar properties to acetylene and burns hot enough to melt steel.
It is the Browns gas that is metered into the fuel system of an automobile and augments the gas mileage to a huge degree. And, the only exhaust is water. No greenhouse gases. No global warming. No carbon foot print. Just water.
In a Gas/Water Hybrid Car, the next benefit is that the car will run cooler and reduce wear and tear on the engine. Since you will be using less gas, you will also experience less toxic emissions. I guess that is what we would call Saving the Planet, one car at a time of course.
The bold truth is that fuel prices have a strangle hold on every person in this country. There is an off-the-shelf technology that will break the hold. Right now there are competing interests that keep this technology from mass market production. But it is only a matter of time before it makes a mass debut.
I am Phillip, learning and making practical applications of what I learn is my passion in life. By never letting the world pass you by, you cannot truly grow old.

MOTORCYCLE LIGHT BULBS
Motorcycles, since they first hit the roads, have won the hearts of the youth and the old alike. The older generation wants to get the feel of the young by zooming in the streets at breath-taking speeds, while the youth finds it as the only means of transport that is both, economical and stylish. Motorcycles have undergone rapid changes over the years. There are huge differences between the motorcycles of today and those that were manufactured some four decades ago. While the older motorcycles were bulky, the modern day’s motorcycles are much more compact and stylish.
One such feature that is indicative of rapid transformation is the motorcycle headlight. While the motorcycles of the 1970’s had 12 volts systems, the motorcycles of 1980’s turned to 6 volts system. It is to be noted that 12 volts system uses 6 cells while the 6 volts system uses 3 cells. Going back into the time when motorcycles were just introduced, it was acetylene gas that powered the motorcycles headlights. It was only after the 1920’s that the bulbs powered by electricity came into prominence. However the halogen bulbs became popular only in the 1980’s. Then the filament-type bulbs became popular. In this case, the filament glows after electricity passes through it heating it to a very high temperature. Today the advanced HID bulbs are being used in select motorcycles. LED lights too are being fitted as a motorcycle light bulbs for usages such as the parking lights, brake lights, and turn signals.
Various shapes and sizes of the motorcycle light bulbs are available in the market. The Half Moon Billet Headlight has many takers in the biking community. With its half moon shaped housing and a very clear bottom lens, it suits the Harley-Davidson the most. Along with the Half Moon Billet Headlight one also needs to have a Billet Half Moon Headlamp and an installation kit.
If it is the high intensity headlight that you are looking for, then you must go for the Halogen Silver Bullets driving lights. These filament-type lights come with a 20 watt halogen bulb made of quartz. The unique advantage that this Halogen Silver Bullets driving lights offer is that they can easily be made to change their colour by replacing one lens by the other. Generally they come with lenses of colours clear, amber and red. Then there is a Stretched Bucket Headlight. They come with two options: Flamed and Smooth. Here too the option of attaching the lens with the bucket housing is available. To have these as the motorcycle headlights, one has to buy the lamp and the bucket separately. While the buckets cost around $150-$300, the prices of the headlight hovers around $60. The next option for headlights can be the Russ Wernimont design headlights. One of the famous headlights that come under this type is the Iron Light-Maltese Cross Headlight. The speciality of these headlights is that it is a 3D headlight which comes with a plug, chrome aluminium housing, and a halogen bulb, and the wire harness. Then there is the Joker series 2000 Rectangular Billet Headlight. The market cost of this product is somewhere around $350.
If you own a Harley-Davidson or a Yamaha Road Stars then there is something that can grab your attention at once. It is the high-performance High Intensity Discharge (HID) bulbs, with longer life and much more intense lights that any other halogen lights. They use up only half the power consumed by halogen bulbs whereas their life-span is ten times that of halogen bulbs. These HID lights not only look very stylish but they also give you a wider and a longer field of vision, thereby reducing chances of accidents at night.
So the long list of motorcycle head lists refuses to end. Go grab the one suits your style the most!

what type of metal are exhaust pipes made from?
im doing my first custom exhaust on my 90 talon tsi awd i just bought... i bought a crap load of pipes fittings and a muffler (no cat of course). now i am looking for a welder and i have found oxy/acetylene kits that have cutter and welder hardware included for a good price.. however after doing research i found out that an o/a torch can only cut through steel or carbon steel... no aluminum, stainless steel, or other metals. im very concerned i might invest in the wrong thing... if exhaust pipe is made from aluminum or s.s. what kind of cutter should i use... i really am trying to not use a grinder and lose fingers obviously.
Exhaust piping is commonly made up of carbon steel . You can get carbon steel exhaust piping with and aluminzied coating which tends to protect it from corroding to soon. The next level is 304 stainless which has even better corrosion resistance due to the lower carbon content. On the high end is 314 and 316 stainless. To check the property of the metal stick a magnet on it . If it is carbon steel or aluminized steel the magnet will stick to it. If it is 304 , 314, 316 the magnet won't stick. Dont use a oxy/act system if you are not experienced with it . You will end up torching your car. Use a sawzall / reciprecating saw aloneg with safety goggles for the eyes. Once you figured out your design take the pipe to a muufles shop and have them expand the ends . They will charge you around $20 . Long term savngs compared to the oxy/act system . Its old skool. Plasma cutters are the in thing now
