Everyone I know is trying to improve his or her golf game, including myself! After many inconsistent rounds after another I finally decided it was back to the drawing board for me. I am definitely not a scratch golfer; I'm just still trying to break 80 so these tips are for the people like me "the every other weekend golfer". After a lot of trial and error and many hours of reading and watching my golf swing tips video I have a basic breakdown of the golf swing secret.

7 Tips for the golf swing secret:

1. The Address: The feet must be a little further apart than shoulder width. The spacing of the feet is just far enough apart to keep a solid base. Also in the address attention to the knees, hips, shoulders, chin, and body alignment to the line of flight is necessary. This is where I started.

2. The Grip: Since the beginning of the game the grip has often been referred to as the steering wheel of the golf game. I most definitely agree, especially after trying to change my grip in the middle of a round. What a disaster that was. Gripping the club properly makes a huge difference in all of your shots, not to mention a much better experience.

3. The Takeaway: The Key to Starting the Golf Club Back.

  • When you start the backswing, the clubhead, shaft, your hands, arms and right shoulder move as one unit at the exact same time.
  • The clubhead starts back on an arc. The right shoulder starts turning backwards.
  • As the golf club comes back from the golf ball the club head must swing back on an arc, which is inside the straight line to the target.
  • The first checkpoint in the backswing is the 9 o'clock position. The club should be parallel to your target and level to the ground. Next take a look - is your right shoulder turning and not tilting? It is almost impossible to get to 9 o'clock with a tilted right shoulder.
  • From the 9 o'clock position you must continue up on an arc.

4. Top of Backswing:
As the golf club leaves the 9 o'clock position, it has to continue on the arc until you reach the top of the backswing. There are a number of areas that must be checked during this time. First and foremost the right shoulder must continue to turn. The right shoulder cannot stop or change direction. If the right shoulder stops or tilts up, the golf club will swing up too much. If it turns too much the golf club will not go up. As the shoulder continues to turn in the backswing, the right hip must not follow it. The right hip has to resist so you can develop resistance. If you achieve resistance in the backswing with the bottom half of your body, you will build like a spring and that is where the clubhead speed comes from.

5. The first move: Now you are ready to start the downswing. You have arrived at the top and now you need to return to the bottom in one piece. This is where a golf swing tips video comes in handy.

  • Right Arm Begins to Straighten
  • Right Arm Unhinges
  • Right Arm Straight
  • The left hip moves one or two inches towards the target
  • Then the left hip should start to turn out of the way so the hands, arms, and golf club can have a place to swing to after impact.
  • Left Hip Turns Out of the Way

6. Starting the Downswing:
As the right arm starts to unfold and the left hip moves one or two inches towards the fairway target before it starts to turn out of the way, the downswing is in full swing mode. In other words no stopping and no bailing out ready to launch Houston.

  • Body is Moving Parallel to the Target Line
  • Left Knee Returns to Address Position
  • At the top of the backswing the clubface is open and as it begins to swing down, the face has to start closing immediately. The closing of the clubface is a long process that has to happen during the entire down swing.
  • clubhead closing 2 feet before impact is critical

7. impact to finish
the one thing you have to keep in mind is from the top of the backswing to the finish is a non-stop fluid motion.

  • At the very moment of impact, the clubface should be one or two degrees closed.
  • Clubface Continuing to Close to Finish
  • Left Knee Returns to Address Position

These golf swing tips are just an outline of each. You should research like I did to put it all together and develop a consistent swing. Once you have researched get out in the backyard and practice. If possible practice with a golf swing tips video if you have room inside. If you have a video camera that's even better, record yourself and watch it. Besides having a golf swing tips video to practice with you can play your video beside it to compare. Once you have worked on each part you will certainly see improvement in your game.

The Golf Swing Tips Video that I used was very useful in helping me break 90. I am Dave Ray a concrete contractor that likes to play golf when I can with my limited schedule. If there is any time left I play video games with my kids.  To learn more please go to http://www.squidoo.com/GolfSwingTipsVideo.

The History Of Ski Holidays In Les Arcs

Skiing resorts are quite clearly a creation for the more adventurous souls looking to experience a different kind of sport, which is both extreme and daring. However, when one speaks about skiing, the term extreme does not usually follow on as it has become much more than just a sport. In the past, skiing was the only means of transportation for pre-historic Nordic and Samis people mainly used for hunting and use of military techniques.

These days skiing is seen as a fun activity holiday, which most families and young children can enjoy too. It is no wonder then that one of the more popular destinations is of course Les Arcs in France. The three valleys in France have long since gained a reputation of offering something for everyone of all levels, however, ski holidays in Les Arcs have been dubbed as the mega resorts for the French. With five areas the ski runs are optimal for people looking for a descent.

Ski holidays in Les Arcs also offer 106 runs, over 200 kilometres of descent, 54 lifts and a varied and large number of piste. Les Arcs not only offers a great variety for skiing but also something for people who are interested in the sights and surroundings of the resort. Also available are the avant-garde modernist architecture, which is unique to Les Arcs. The five areas include Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 1950, Bourg Saint Maurice and Arc 2000.

The Arc 1600 is the smallest or lowest of the resorts which was the first one to be built in 1968. This now holds 30 shops, hotels and meeting rooms to offer its guests. Arc 1800 is the tallest and largest area, which has four villages including Charvet, Villards, Charmettoger and Chantel. It contains around 100 shops, hotels, two cinema screens and much more entertainment facilities. Arc 1950 is a new development by a Canadian constructor Intrawest. It contains plenty of diverse restaurants for a mere mountain.

Arc 2000 is directly connected with Arc 1950 via a free Gondola. This too has a wide selection of shops and cinema screens to keep guests entertained. All of the areas have shuttle buses, trains links, ski lifts and express cable cars. Beginners can take lessons with the ESF School of skiing, whereby they will learn to make parallel turns right from the beginning using short skis, then eventually using longer skis.

Historically Les Arcs was built with the view to keep the natural surroundings and area preserved. This was based on three principles, which were based on respecting the nature and environment of the area, using local materials and keeping to using the existing mountain chalets without replicating them. The idea was to build a ski resort that would both inspire and entertain visitors without compromising its original condition.

It was also designed to appreciate and overlook mountainous areas without having buildings overlooking each other. The buildings that were built completely open plan and marked a new design for styling and designing modern homes. During the summer period this has become a popular destination for mountain biking. Therefore, not only can people enjoy ski holidays in Les Arcs, they can also give mountain biking holidays a go too.

Is it possible to make an arc welder with a car battery, jumper cables, and electrodes?

Is it possible to make an arc welder with a car battery, jumper cables, and electrodes?

I would think it's pretty much the same concept. I've never welded before, but the thought just popped in my mind and I thought I would ask it.

Yes , very simple. But , you won't be building the golden gate bridge with it. I have seen a welding machine made from a series of 6 or more batteries connected together in a series and it was powerful. Here is a link.
