Building Energy Rating (BER)
Energy Survey Services has been establish primarily to provide a specialist Energy Rating Service to all builders and developers of new housing - including self-builders. From the 1st of January 2007 onwards, Part L of the Building Regulations requires that every new dwelling is offered to the potential homebuyer with a Building Energy Rating (BER) Certificate. From January 2009, there will be a legal requirement for an BER Certificate upon the sale or rent of an existing dwelling. We will extend our service to include existing dwellings at this point.
