can i use an oxyacetylene torch to do the following?
remove undercoating and spotwelds, determine spot weld location, remove brazing or heat glass????
I don't recommend using it to remove undercoating which can be very flammable, and it's even worse when it starts dripping little fireballs of sticky, molten undercoat material.
Spot welds are best removed with a drill bit designed to do just that. Heating glass (or any nonflammable substance) would be acceptable uses if done in moderation.
Trying to remove brazing simply results in spreading the brass out further, but it is handy if you intend only to break a brazed joint apart and separate it.
Heating substances to very high temperatures can be hazardous - for example, concrete will generally react to excessive heat with a loud crack and a shower of concrete shrapnel.
