One reason basketball players tend to fail in their training is because of all the hype around most "training aids." Nearly all basketball training aids are complete junk, and should never be used for any reason.
My advice to you is, like Public Enemy, "Don't Believe The Hype!"
Between you and I, players fall for marketing schemes every single day. It's horrible how overrated and overhyped basketball training aids and programs are today, but players still seem to want to waste their hard earned money on these things in the hope that they will become LeBron James overnight.
This is a shame. If players stuck to old school tried and true methods of basketball training, we would see a lot more "LeBron-esque" athletes around. My rule for staying away from scams is; if you have to attach it to your body, if it claims to give you a 10 inch or more increase on your vertical jump, or if you have to swallow any pills, stay away from it.
There are five simple training principles for basketball players to follow. It's not that tough. Lift weights to get stronger. Play basketball and run drills at high speeds and intensities. Do speed training drills like line hops and jump rope to get light on your feet. Practice jumping and dunking if you can. Rest, stretch and recover from your training.
Simple as that.
Stay away from cookie cutter programs and so called "training aids" that you see in advertisements. That stuff will cut your hard earned time and money in half quickly. Train with old school, proven basketball training methods and you will dominate. It's that simple. Now, there are a couple good training aids and programs out there. But not many. Here are the ones I like.
For shooting, I LOVE to use The Gun as a rebounder. It makes life a lot easier. I've also used the Arc Angel from JumpUSA. As far as vertical jump training programs go, I like anything by Kelly Baggett, including the Vertical Jump Bible and Flying In Four. I haven't seen much else that's worth the money. That about covers it for today.

Remember you have paid for the welder equipment and the consumables and it should be you intention to recover the cost together with the concomitant profit elements. The first qualification to become a successful businessman is to develop the required business acumen.
