VanGuard 1101EML Brightfield Educational Microscope with Monocular Head, LED Illumination, 4X, 10X, 40X Magnification, 360 Degree Viewing Angle, Dimensions 90 x 90m List Price: $185.00 Sale Price: $179.87 |
|
The Van Guard 1101EML compound brightfield educational microscope has a monocular viewing head with 45-degree inclination, 360-degree rotation for adjustment capability, magnification ability of up to 400X, and a six-position disc diaphragm condenser for control of light. This microscope, commonly used in educational and basic research applications, enhances the resolution of an object or image with its compound optical system. This microscope features Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN)-standard achromatic objective lenses, which correct for red and yellow chromatic aberrations. Adjustable resolution provides DIN-standard resolvant options of 4X, 10X, or 40X. Its optical system is fixed at 160 mm. Brightfield LED illumination controls light from below, allowing a specimen to absorb light for clear illumination. The microscope has a 10X widefield eyepiece magnifier, which locks on to the unit for ease of operation, and provides 18 mm field distortion (FD). The unit adjusts light through a 0.65 numerical aperture (NA) condenser. Spring-loaded stage clips lock in place to secure specimens. The microscope has a coarse control focus adjustment mechanism. A slip-clutch mechanism protects gears from damage by allowing knobs to turn, even when the stage has reached upper or lower travel stops. The nosepiece has secure, positive stops, and three rotation positions support a range of magnification. The microscope has a cast metal body with an enamel finish for stain-resistance and durability, a dust cover, and anti-skid rubber feet. The 1101EML microscope comes with five-year mechanical and optical warranties, and a one-year electrical warranty. The 1101EML portable microscope overall dimensions are 305 x 110 x 155 mm (H x W x D), base dimensions are 110 x 155 mm (W x D), and its stage is 90 x 90 mm (D x W). The unit weighs 1.8 kg, and works with a 110-volt power source for illumination. Microscopes are instruments used to enhance the resolution of an object or image. Types include compound, stereo, or digital. Compound microscopes use a compound optical system with an objective lens and an eyepiece. Stereo microscopes show object depth in a three-dimensional image. Digital microscopes are used to display an image on a monitor, rather than looking through a lens. Microscopes can have monocular (one), binocular (two), or trinocular (three) eyepieces, with varying viewing abilities. A trinocular eyepiece is used to output digital images or video to an internal or external device such as a camera or monitor. Magnification ability refers to the size of an image. Resolution, also known as resolvant power, refers to the clarity of the image. The interaction between field of view (FOV), numerical aperture (NA), and working distance (WD) determines resolution. Microscopes can control magnification through a fixed focus, or through a range of adjustments. They can also use LED, fluorescent, and mirror light sources to help control viewing capabilities. Microscopes are widely used in education, lab research, biology, metallurgy, engineering, chemistry, manufacturing, and in the medical, forensic science, and veterinary industries. Vee Gee Scientific manufactures laboratory equipment and supplies, and makes the VanGuard brand of products. The company, founded in 1981 and headquartered in Kirkland, WA, offers scientific equipment for educational, professional, and industrial applications. Here are some more information for Disc Clutch:

Titanium springs are essential for your high-performance snowmobile needs. There are springs that will improve the performance of your clutch and enhance your suspension performance. In addition these springs save weight and resist set, for a lighter, faster ride.
Consistent spring performance is absolutely crucial to maximizing your snowmobile's performance. Clutch springs are typically the most over-stressed part of a snowmobile, and for good reason. The springs are the brains behind the clutch. They control how efficiently a clutch will turn its power to acceleration.
When horsepower increases and power bands become narrow, your snowmobile requires greater force to "shift" the transmission--this force comes from the springs. With many more high-powered sleds, the springs currently being used are simply just not up to task.
In fact, some of the most popular Polaris and Ski-Doo performance snowmobiles have clutch springs that are stressed beyond 70% of the tensile strength of the wire. Which means that at these stress levels the springs will lose length. Because of the heat generated during clutch use, this problem is only made greater.
Titanium is the best material for highly stressed clutch springs, because of its combination of greater flexibility and high strength. This provides more force. By being more volumetrically efficient, titanium springs can be manufactured to operate at stress levels that do not result in spring set. Tests show that for comparable loads, titanium clutch springs take less permanent damages in much larger shifts than steel clutch springs will exhibit in smaller shifts.
Remember, consistency is the most important thing. If clutching changes, performance will drop off.
RCS titanium springs have become more available through specialty dealers--companies who have markedly improved state of the art snowmobile design.
Beyond the limits of conventional suspension, the future of snowmobile suspension performance has developed titanium snowmobile suspension springs. Titanium springs will provide a plush ride for the trail, but they are tough enough for use on the track.
Even though steel springs are designed with high stresses to keep weight down, the performance suffers. Titanium's superior combination of properties rids us of these concerns by providing stable designs at reduced weights, which allows for systems with higher performance forces, better handling and higher speeds.

Keep your Mazda Under Tight Rein With World-standard Clutch Disc
A key component of the transmission system installed on a Mazda is a mechanism called the clutch assembly. It is used to transmit rotation from the engine to the drive wheels, and can be engaged and disengaged on the fly to provide drivers a tight rein of the car. Essentially, the Mazda clutch kit enables engine motion to be transferred to the drive wheels through the transmission's gear system. A manual transmission contains cogs that have matching teeth called dog teeth for selecting gears. Thus, the rotation speeds of the two parts must be synchronized for engagement.
The process of speed matching is achieved by a secondary clutch called the Mazda clutch disc, a device that uses frictional contact to run the gear teeth at the same speed, and a locking mechanism called a blocker ring to prevent engagement of the teeth (full movement of the shift lever into gear) until the speeds are properly calibrated. The Mazda clutch disc is categorized as per car types, with the majority of them composed of one or more friction discs pressed tightly together or against a flywheel through a network of springs or a ball bearing diaphragm. Mazda trucks and muscle cars generally use a clutch disc with a ceramic friction material to equip their car with an increased-traction clutch assembly, while most sedans use a high-traction performance clutch disc that allows for quick shifting.
In addition, various Mazda models are fitted with two-clutch Mazda discs for better shifting. The asbestos surface finish of the Mazda Clutch Disc enhances the grip between the flywheel and the disc, equipping the car with a car handling that is up to specs with the power production of the Mazda engine. Available in replaceable asbestos and ceramic friction compound linings, the Mazda clutch discs are designed to give faster and harder launches and quicker shifts, while putting up an improved venting system at the clutch assembly for an efficient heat dispersion. They are typically made from heat-treated materials to make the Mazda clutch assembly better suited in the high thermal condition of clutch applications.
