Here are some more information for Flexible Hose:

When buying a car, a customer chooses that which is physically good, mechanically fine, and smooth to drive. The third criterion means the engine must yield smooth transition and when braking, everything goes smoothly and quietly. One problem that goes along with the brake system, if not properly maintained, is brake squealing.
It is a very common problem which might not only affect your car but it might also end up giving you headaches each time you drive due to the noise it gives. Although most of the times brake squealing is due to the brake pad, there are several other reasons which might cause the problem and you should start by finding out what it is in order to be able to fix it.
One of the problems that might cause brakes to squeal is an excessive break pad wear. Also some pad materials can cause the brake to squeal more, such as carbon metallic, for example. And in this case, if you want to put an end to the squealing of your brake, you should change the pad for another one.
But, there are some other problems that can cause brakes to squeal that might be more complex and not so easy o fix. Among these problems are misaligned calipers, loose calipers, pads incorrectly sized, glazed rotors, glazed pads and warped rotors. If you find out that your brake pads are correctly in position and are doing just fine and the brakes squealing is not caused by those pads, you should consult a mechanic unless you are able to find which other problem could be the cause.
Among the other several reasons could be, in the case of your Volkswagen car, the VW brake hoses. Your car's hoses see to it that vital fluids keep circulating in the engine parts for optimum performance. And these fluids must be kept flowing.
As a special type of flexible tube, VW brake hose transcends precise flow of brake fluid. It features high grade and is made under durable construction to address extreme heat and pressure understanding the necessity for its efficient service. While the brake booster amplifies the amount of force you applied on the brakes to compress pressure, a vacuum is created through the VW brake hose. It facilitates pressure buildup which is eventually used to deliver other components to grip onto the rotating disc brakes and overcome the force with huge amount of compression and friction.
If you want to check your brake pads in order to find out if they are where brake squealing comes from, you should start by visually checking them by yourself in order to notice if they show equal wear and do not look broken in any way. This is one way of cost cutting. Then, if the pads show an unequal wear or show excessive wear, it means it is time to change them.
If your car brakes are squealing and you also hear other noises such as clunky noises along with the squealing, you should consult a mechanic as soon as possible since it could mean that there is a generalized problem in the braking system. You and your passengers' lives may also be at risk.
Aside from this, you should also have to take into account that there are some other ways in which to reduce the brakes squealing. One way is by installing brake pad vibration damper pads, which are meant for this problem and would be very helpful against reducing the noise.

How To Choose An Environmentally Friendly Garden Hose
Consumers are becoming more and more aware of the affects that every day household items can have on the environment. Let's face it, going "green" has become hip. Americans are increasingly looking for products that do not harm the environment.
Manufacturers are jumping on the trend towards environmentally friendly products in big way. In fact, even the standard tried and true garden hose is getting an extreme makeover these days.
Have decided to replace that old garden hose with an eco-friendly one? If so, here are few guidelines that will help you choose the right one.
Recycled Materials
A true earth friendly garden hose should be made from at least 50% recycled material, usually polyurethane or rubber, or a combination of both. Polyurethane hoses are generally much lighter than an all rubber hose. From an environmentally friendly perspective, the more recycled material in the hose you choose, the better.
Water Conservation
Water may one day very soon be Earth's most precious resource. The conservation is water is critical and hose manufacturers have stepped up to do their part. Eco-friendly hoses today use patented water restrictors that control pressure and help avoid soil erosion and puddling. A good hose will use at least 50% less water than a traditional garden hose.
Lighter and More Flexible
Recycled polyurethane is 2-3 times lighter than all rubber hoses. Look for a light hose that still contains a UV protective coating. Without it, the hose could become cracked much easier after exposure to direct sunlight. This will also prevent the hose from kinking as well.
Drinking Safety
Everyone who has taken a drink for a garden hose has probably has this thought: "just how safe is this water after traveling from the spigot to the other end?". With today's eco-friendly hoses, this is no longer a concern. As with other products bearing the name, "green" garden hoses use non-toxic substances and are completely safe to drink from.
Environmentally safe hoses come in all sizes and lengths. Next time you go to replace your old hose, consider purchasing one that is not only easier to use, but better for the environment as well.

Help please - looking for connector for gas hob from ½" pipe to flexible hose?
Bought gas hob but it only has a ½" screw on connector. I need something to allow me to connect from that ½" connector to the bottled gas flexible hose. My previous hob came with a connector but the fitting at the hob is totally different. Any help appreciated. I have emailed both the supplier and the manufacturer and neither have bothered to respond.
There seems to be a bit of confusion with regards to the type of hob you have.Is it one thats secured into a hole cut out of the worktop or is it a free standing portible hob that sits ontop of the worktop?
