Here are some more information for Foot Pedal:

People use transcription machines each day to help change audio into a written hard copy. Without these types of machines it would be very difficult for people to track what people say. The ability to record what people say is very important and to do so that others have access to this information is also important. For many years business schools taught shorthand so that people could take minutes for meetings without having to write everything. It was necessary to have someone in the meeting to record everything that was discussed. This method of shorthand was understood by those who were trained in it. But even with the use of shorthand there it was discovered that there were still difficulties in accurately recording information because of human error many times.
The progression of tape recording technology made it easier for people to record their conversations. This made it easier to obtain an accurate conversation. The use of the cassette tape provided a portable device that could easily be recorded upon and given to the necessary parties for data retrieval. The technology that brought the tape recorder and cassette player helped to present the first of transcription machines. These machines allow the user to take information that is recorded on a cassette tape and play it back. The individual will either write or type the audio into written word. The traditional controls on the cassette player were used by the individual to either stop, play, fast forward or rewind the audio so that the audio could be interpreted correctly.
This method transcribing was quite efficient as it allowed the user the ability to accurately change audio into written or typed words. However, making the process more efficient for the individual transcribing was needed. For anyone who has ever transcribed audio to written words, having to stop writing or typing to use the controls to stop or rewind the tape can make the process of transcription more time consuming than it already is. Eventually the use of the foot switch or foot pedal was introduced to the transcription machine to help make the transcription process more efficient. The foot pedal can be connected to the cassette recorder so that the controls can be accessed by the feet instead of the hands. When the user wants to stop, play or use any of the other controls on the machine the foot pedal frees the hands so that the user can still type and the feet can operate the machine.
As the transcription machines progressed it also became very obvious that the ability to slow down the audio and record the time of the audio were also very important. The introduction of a variable speed control that allows the user to slow down the audio track provided the user with more control over the transcription process. Variable speeds make it possible for the user to type with the audio at a consistent pace. This is a benefit to the user because with the variable speed you avoid having to constantly stop and start the audio in an effort to keep pace. Likewise, a mechanism that tracks the time of the audio was also included on many machines which help the transcriber when timing the transcription and recording time for payment.
The history of transcription machines shows how technology offered better features to assist the user in effectively turning audio into a written or typed format.

Double Bass Pedal
William F. Ludwig made the first bass drum pedal in 1909. This paved the way for the modern drum kit. A bass pedal is made of a “footplate” that is pressed to pull a chain, belt or metal mechanism downward which then causes a “beater” to move towards the drumhead. The double bass pedal allows the drummer to make more beats with two beaters making the sound of the drum set more powerful.
Sound quality is always the main concern of any musician. To attain a clear drum beat is the object of getting a double bass pedal. This not only makes the beating sound fuller but also better. The drum set with a double bass pedal is always the better one that one that only has a single bass drum pedal.
Classes of double bass pedals are:
- Belt drive double bass pedals – The belt drive is composed of four interchangeable cams. Have adjustable belt drives, increased traction and adjustable toe clamps.
- There are separate adjustments for pedal board height, beater angle and spring tension. These types of pedals have a stabilizer for quick release and Velcro straps. The beaters come with two surfaces and non slip memory locks.
- Direct drive double bass pedals – These pedals provide fast response and seamless pedaling. Have the same features as the dual cam double bass pedals.
Buying tips when buying double bass pedals:
- Choose pedal belts made of plastic embedded with steel cable for stretch resistance and durability.
- Choose one with adjustable belt or chain drives to allow easy change of angle of the footboard. This is important for comfort while playing.
- For maximum traction, choose one with rubber discs or dots on the foot pedal to prevent slipping.

CAN YOU PLAY THE DRUMS ON BAND HERO WITHOUT THE FOOT PEDAL?
I am pretty good at hitting the drums but the foot pedal messes me up is there a way to play without it?
you could but you wont get a good score and you'll most likely fail. the tutorial say if your having trouble on a song, focus on the red pad and foot peddle because they're the most important part of the song and you wont drop down as much on the survial bar thing on the side.
Stark girls beat up on weak foes, continue move to higher level
BY MATT SCHOOLEY With a comfortable lead by halftime, the John Stark girls lacrosse team took its foot off the gas pedal. After coasting to a near stop soon after, the Lady Generals had no problem accelerating once again. Stark took a 10-1 halftime lead, but with the majority of their subs in the game and an order from their coach not to run the score up, the team began to sputter. After ...
