Every scope manufactured has a lens made from glass as it provides the clearest image for optical viewing. However, as you know glass causes reflection. Whenever light strikes the glass surface of a scope some of the light is reflected away. This principle creates a problem when attempting to get as much light as possible through the very small diameter tube which is a scope. This is a problem with any piece of optical equipment in which glass is utilized. The reduction of light caused my the reflection decreases the amount of light passing through the lens. This reduction visibly impacts the brightness of the scope.

The process of lens coating has greatly impacted the evolution of optical equipment. Lens coating reduces the amount of glare caused when light strikes the glass. This in turn reduces the amount of light lost from the reflection. Generally the more coating utilized the less light will be reflected producing better light transmission. The amount and type of coating utilized on a scope differs depending on the quality. If you have ever done much shopping for optical equipment you have probably seen some terms that reference the type or quantity of coating used. Here is a list to help define different types of coating:

- Coated: At least one lens surface has coating.

- Fully Coated: A single layer of coating on all air to glass surfaces.

- Multicoated: More than one layer of coating on at least one lens surface.

- Fully Multicoated: Multiple layers of coating on all air to glass surfaces.

When trying to decide what scope to buy remember that the price usually reflects the extent and type of coating used. Fully multicoated optical equipment provides the clearest and brightest image especially in low light situations. When deciding keep in mind that the big ones usually are only roaming about in low light hours, so don't let the price of a scope hinder you from being able to take a shot at a monster. You will be glad you spent the extra money!

Create Squidoo Lens and Market Your Online Business

There are many ways you can promote your Internet business. You can try buying traffic using Pay Per Click, article marketing, Web 2.0 marketing, or other traffic building methods. Regardless of which method you eventually try out, the goal is always the same - drive targeted traffic.

The success and failure of your Internet business depends on how targeted your traffic is. For example, if you are running a billing software company, you want to be sure who your target prospects are. Are they doctors, retailers, or software vendors? These are the people you are trying to market to. If you have a website that converts well, you don't need a lot of traffic to make money. Expert marketers have realized that even with a few hundred unique visitors per month, they can still create a profitable business. How do they achieve this?

Imagine having a software that collects recurring monthly revenue. Each customer is probably worth thousands of dollars to you. Even if you acquire 10 customers each month, the profits can still be a substantial amount. So never underestimate the value of targeted traffic.

Recently, many expert Internet marketers have been talking about more advanced techniques such as Web 2.0. These techniques definitely do work. But what you must remember is that you have to have focus. Don't go running off to implement the next traffic method when you haven't mastered the method you are currently using.

SEO is probably one of the most well known traffic generation method in the industry. It is fast becoming an industry standard, and even the big G has released official information on search engine optimization techniques. Apparently, SEO is no longer black hat or grey hat. If you find Google releasing information about SEO, you can be sure that it's 100% white hat!

The essential element that you must know about SEO is that you must build inbound links with your targeted keywords in them. For instance, if you are targeting "billing software", you must build links with the anchor texts "billing software" in them. And you don't want your links to appear on just any website. Link farms will probably hurt your site rankings. What you want, is inbound links from relevant websites or web pages. These sites have content that is of similar theme with your business. The more inbound links you have, the better.

Do lens cleaner have ammonia?

I just bought an ipod touch 2nd gen and I want to clean to screen weekly. I have Cosma Kleen Lens Cleaner, It doesn't tell you the ingredients but I want to know if it contains ammonia which I heard is bad for the ipod touch.

Do any lens cleaner contain ammonia?

Cosma Kleen contains and anti fog and anti static compound and is not rated for coated optics like camera lens. This product may be OK for eye glasses but I would not use it on an LCD touch screen.

Also it is NOT rated as Amonia Free.... It may have a psuedo ammonia compound in it or ammonia in it.

Many "Lens" cleaner products are for eye glasses and aren't rated for coated optics (camera lenses) or LCD screens.
