Here are some more information for Helmet Arc:

LEGO have had the Star Wars license for just over 10 years now and their new wave of sets hit store shelves in the US, Europe and Australia sometime during late 2009 and early 2010. Let's take a look at the latest sets.
Generally, emphasis is still on the Clone Wars side of things with a couple of original trilogy battle packs to cover old school fans. This is largely understandable as The Clone Wars TV series is still growing strong, with Season Two showing in most countries.
These sets fit with the new pricing of LEGO sets which is getting a little more expensive this year. Like most new sets, if you aren't fussed about the getting minifigs you can pick up the main ships by themselves on eBay for a lot less.
The smallest (and cheapest) sets in this wave are the afore mentioned battlepacks. Sets 8083 and 8084 sit at about 80 pieces and feature 4 minifigs in each set for a RRP of $10.99 each. While 8083 features Rebel Troopers, snowtroopers are the big draw in set 8084 and you can expect to see these fly off the shelves as Hoth army builders increase their ranks.
Luke's Landspeeder is a re-release of Luke's trusty speeder from A Hew Hope. Designed to skim across the sands of Tatooine this set has 163 pieces and comes with Luke, Obi Wan and a Storm trooper. And yes these are the Droids you are looking for, both C3PO and R2-D2 come with the set which makes it a well rounded set for $24.95.
The Republic Swamp Speeder is a set from planet of Kashyyyk as featured in Episode 3. The speeder is nothing to write home about but the set does contain Barriss Offee, a Jedi Commander who has been never been featured in a set before. Also comes with two battle droids and an Episode 3 clone trooper.
Next biggest set at 177 pieces is a sleek Freeco Speeder featured in an episode of The Clone Wars based on the ice planet Orto Plutonia. The set features two exclusive minifigs, Anakin Skywalker in snow gear and the native Talz chieftain. This set also retails for $24.99.
The Droid Tri Fighter is another re-release and this is an improvement on the original release. It is larger, more detailed and a battle droid can actually fit inside the central control pod. Features 3 battle droids, 268 pieces and retails for $24.99.
The Tie Defender is the only extended Universe offering of this wave, originally featured in the video game Battlefront: Renegade Squadron. At $49.95 it may seem overly expensive for only 304 pieces and two minifigs (Tie Fighter pilot and stormtrooper). It is a large model though and is highly swooshable opponent for various rebel scum.
The last and largest release in this wave is the ARC -170 Starfighter, another re-release of a popular model. This version was featured in the Clone Wars and comes with Kit Fisto, an astromech droid R4-P44 and two clone pilots (each with different helmet patterns). This set contains 396 pieces and comes in at $59.99 retail. Like most of this wave's sets the ARC-170 contains stickers that need applying.
Overall this first wave of Star Wars LEGO for 2010 is a little more expensive than last year's releases but contains a few exciting figures and new, small vehicles to collect. Hopefully we will get some larger sets in the coming year but with a more satisfying price-per-piece price tag.

Welding Helmets And Welding Safety In The Shop
Welding safety forms the backbone of any project involving an arc. Because of the intensity of light the arc emits, and the extreme temperature it produces, it stands to reason that protecting yourself remains the first rule of the day regardless of the nature of the job or the years of experience you have in the field. Futhermore, welding safety involves more than just protection from heat and light. A number of other safety hazards face welders, and require additional gear to fully meet OSHA-and common sense-safety requirements. Red Hill Supply offers a comprehensive selection of welding safety equipment from top manufacturers of welding helmets, welding gloves, and welding goggles.
Welding helmets provide the most important element of protection by shielding the welder's head and eyes from the bright light of the arc. We carry a number of standard and auto-darkening welder's safety helmets in our online inventory. We offer fix-front welding safety helmets in a number of color options and designs. We also carry the more traditional lift/fixed front combo helmets by mainstay manufacturers like Firepower and Eclipse. If you have a personal preference for new technology, or if your company requires the latest and greatest in welding safety, then we can accommodate your requirements with top-quality auto darkening welding helmets. Equipped with technology that automatically dims the eye shield as soon as the arc lights, these intuitive devices have already supplanted traditional welding helmets in many organizations. We currently offer the solar-powered models, as these are not only safer for the welder but also run on a renewable energy source.
No matter how safe your welding helmet is reputed to be, it remains wise to double-guard the eyes with safety glasses while welding. Even with the arc off, you can still be injured by a variety of equipment hazards on the job. Industrial welding often generates flying particles, chemicals, and vapors that can irritate or severely injure the eyes. No welding environment is ever safe in this sense without countermeasures taken in advance. Home and agricultural environments pose similar hazards to welders without safety glasses. Red Hill Supply not only recommends you double-guard your eyes, but also supplies some of the best welders goggles and safety glasses you can find anywhere online. Our safety glasses by UVEX offer protection from industrial, laboratory, and chemical hazards encountered daily by welders. Highly scratch resistant, their ability to shield from laser light also makes them a valuable component to any welder's safety kit.
Welders also need to safely protect their hands, and welding gloves are normally mandatory safety equipment for welders in factories and construction crews. Never remove your gloves while handling welding equipment or while standing in an area where other welders are working. Even with the arc off, hot metal can still burn your hands, and flying particles can burn the hands just like they can burn the eyes. While normal safety gloves might make do for a welder in a pinch, we do not recommend you use standard gloves as a mainstay welding safety device. Instead, we recommend welders invest in gloves specifically designed for their trade.

Auto darkening welding helmet
.
I'm thinking on Getting a Speedglas 9100x, is it really worth 300 bones?
i've been welding for about 7 years now and i had one auto-darking before but there it in the trash because the arc sensors were junk. Now i'm looking at a 9100x, i hear lots of good thing about speedglas, anyone have one or any experience with speedglas, is it a good helmet i.e. lightweight, comfortable, are the arc senors any good, and first and for most, DOES IT STAY UP AND NOT SLOWLY FALL DOWN WHEN YOUR WORKING!!!!!!!!!!!! that's a pain in the a$$
They are about the best hood out there. I have 4 of them. The oldest is 25 years old and still working. The newest is the 9100xx. Speedglas was the first company that came out with the auto darkening hood. When they first came out they were $800. They are great for tig. The same with most auto hoods is if your hand gets in the way of the sensor they will cut out. The 9100 has a "catch" in the up position to help hold it up. The head band is adjustable and very comfortable. In my opinion well worth the money. Just like anything you buy you can always get a bad one. Good luck!
