If you are looking to purchase a motorcycle trailer to tow behind your motorcycle, then you really should be looking to purchase a trailer that has independent rubber torsion suspension.
The advantages of rubber torsion suspension are many and include a longer life with smoother ride, durability, dampening effect, easy installation, and maintenance free and easy replacement.
Customers who have purchased trailers with independent rubber torsion suspension often refer to the smooth ride of their trailers. This is achieved in part to each axle being independent that therefore allowing each wheel to be independent of the other when travelling. Also due to the vibration absorbing qualities of rubber the suspensions has an internal damping control. Further as you increase the payload of your trailer the torsion rubber suspension gets stiffer which provide great ride qualities. There is also minimal road shock that is ultimately transferred to the trailer chassis and therefore less movement and jarring of trailer cargo.
The whole axle assembly is ready for fitting to your trailer and requires only four bolts. This makes installation and assembly of your trailer quick and easy. Maintenance is minimal because there is no contact of metal to metal. As such lubrication is not needed (bearings still need to be greased) and no parts to wear over time.
The suspension consists of a torsion arm with the axle encased in rubber in a steel bar. Attached to the other end of the torsion arm is hub spindle to which the wheel is attached. As such this cushioning removes any metal to metal contact.
Maintenance is low on rubber torsion suspension. However like all trailers, periodic inspection is highly recommended to ensure maximum safety and longevity.
In summary, independent torsion rubber suspension has clear advantages over single axle leaf spring suspension. The main benefits being ease of installation, damping control and reduction of jarring through minimisation of road shock transfer, low maintenance and ease of replacement.
Next time you are looking to purchase a new motorcycle trailer, give due consideration to the above benefits of independent rubber torsion suspension and only consider motorcycle trailers that have this form of suspension installed. The benefits are clear and you will be pleased with the ride you get from your trailer.

Proper Helmet Is A Necessity While Skateboarding
A lot of people are extremely enthusiastic about skateboarding. On the other hand, simultaneously their personal safety has to be a main concern. You will come across a range of different types and brands of helmets that you can opt for with the aim of trimming down the possibility of a severe injury. Although, it is in addition necessary to be aware of that they are not at all similar. There are a few, excellent information about skateboarding helmet that you can depend on.
You definitely want to check the overall approval on any skateboarding helmet. If you have, one you already use for biking that can be used as well. The Consumer Product Safety Commission has approved several of them available in the market. You must always choose those that meet the standards approved by the commission and avoid those that do not meet the standards set by the commission, as they might not provide you the same level of protection. It must not cover your line of vision and you should be able to see properly. In addition, it must not move sideways or up and down while you are skating as it can be very irritating and you will not be able to perform well.
An accurate fitting skateboarding helmet is extremely necessary. If it is very tight, you might not be capable of hearing properly with you wearing it. You might be putting yourself at danger as well if you are too focused on the feel of the helmet to a certain extent than your skating. Try to find those with soft pads within that will provide you additional ease. You would not like it to be bulky as well, for the reason that it can have an effect on your balance or control on the skateboard. The helmet has to be comfortable though and not shaking around when you skate. It is supposed to fit low on the forehead as well with the intention that some protection can be given there as well. To make certain your skateboarding helmet will remain firmly in place; buy one with straps that buckle below the chin. Nearly all helmets have adjustable straps so you can adjust them as a child matures as well or if they aren't at ease.
All the time put on your skateboarding helmet, although you are performing tricks or stunts you have been carrying out several times. In addition you would have to check your helmet on a regular basis. If it shows signs of wearing away you will have to get it changed. Should you meet an accident and the helmet is broken in that case replace it given that the capacity for it to take in future blows has been decreased considerably. For that reason you are supposed to in no way purchase a second-hand skateboarding helmet. The protection of the individual on a skateboard is too vital to take such a threat. You will be capable of purchasing an extremely good quality skateboarding helmet for below $50. This is a excellent investment and one you will certainly benefit from.
While helmet is optional in a lot of places, it is an excellent habit to wear one whenever you are performing. Parents are obliged to take care their child has a helmet from the time they get a hold of their first skateboard. As a result it develops into a habit from the beginning to always wear one. Figures prove that a third of all skateboarding injuries take place within the first week of riding one accordingly don't consider this is something you won't require immediately.

Moto Helmet Question / Replaceable Cheekpads on Shoei TZR Helmet?
I purchased a Shoei TZR helmet (size determined by trying on a friend's RF1000 helmet), and it fits snugly everywhere except in the cheeks, where it feels like the pads are too tight. I am new to riding and I would like to know if this and indication of a snug helmet or should I look for replacement cheekpads? If I should look for replacements should I look for cheekpads from a smaller size helmet or larger? Thanks!
the foam in the helmet will compress slightly the more you wear it, if you need to replace the cheek pads get them from the next size larger helmet as the shell size is the same the foam padding is slightly thinner.
