This has also led to more demand for travel by rail. As Amtrak needs more trains and cars, this will necessitate an investment in infrastructure across the country.

Many people (and sites) are selling or promoting HHO generators for milage gain. Have you tried one? Was it effective? Where did you get it installed at and how hard and costly was installation? Please include anything you think I should know.
Before installing one, get approval from your car manufacturer to see that it will stand behind the warranty. To the best of my knowledge no car manufacturer will respect their warranty with an HHO unit installed.
HHO kit distributors will advise you that it will not invalidate your warranty because you can remove the kit before taking the vehicle in for service. This appears to me to be an invitation to fraud.
