purity rings in high school?? HELP???
ok so im thinking about getting a purity ring.
and i think its a great thing to do and ive thought it threw and all that.
but my brothers in college, and i told him i might get one, and he said it was stupid?? and that kids would make fun of me in high school? i love my brother but i dont know what to do?? so if your in high school, or ever was, and has a purity ring, did people make fun of you, or think its dumb, because i already get picked on and i dont want to be teased anymore!!! some please help?!?!??!?!1
oh and also, would it be weird if i bought one, and didnt tell my friends what its for, but if they asked tell them?? like buy one that just looks like a normal ring and then only tell people who need to know??
or could i just stay pure to myself? by one myself and keep it that way???
I don't know why he would tell you that's dumb. I knew girls who did that in HS and no one cared, unless they were sluts and then we would all laugh about how they can try to pretend they are pure but we all know different! lol
Anyway, do what you want! But if anyone questions you why you have it have valid reasons to back it up! So they can respect why you choose to wear one. Such as "I feel like my studies are more important right now and I want to make a commitment to myself to not focus on being sexual at this age."
Come up with something really good so people can walk away and think "That girl really knows what she is talking about! good for her!"
Oh and about being teased, it happens in school. It just DOES. So don't let it effect you too harshly. We all grow up and move on and you won't even remember it when you get older
