In our generation, a lot of things are made and enjoyed wireless. It's called "freedom from wires" for a reason. So nowadays, we're seeing a lot of people turning in their desktop computers for laptops. With a laptop, computing is made more mobile. So you can do your work in your office, living room, bedroom or even the neighborhood coffee shop.
But before, even laptops have to be wired in order to connect to the Internet. Whats the best way to convert my 1961 lincoln into a fully electric car? and are there grants available?
I would like to box up my motor and turn my 9 miles to the gallon lincoln into a fully electric car. i need to know what size electric motor to buy, a possible way to recharge the batteries while driving via alternator and above all, where do i go close to sacramento. if at all possible i would like to know if there are grants for people who take these type of cars off the road or make them hybrid/EV's
If you're serious, then join the EV list http://www.evdl.org/ and talk with the folks there. They're going to tell you that the car is not a very good choice for conversion car, because it's so heavy. But there's more than one way to look at that problem.
Are there grants etc.? Not for homebrew conversions, I'm afraid not. Homebrews can't even get the sticker to drive it in the carpool lane 
Besides, even if there *were* grants, they would only partially reimburse you, you'd still be pouring money down a hole. Oh wait, at the end you'd have a working electric car!
