Anything other than a standard bathtub can get quite expensive. However, if you know what you are looking for you can sometimes find a good deal. For those interested in deep soaking tubs, there are some affordable options available. You might not be able to get a Japanese deep soaking tub, but there are a number of deeper standard style tubs that are at least 22" deep and available for less than $1,500.
Jacuzzi actually makes some of the more affordable deep soaking tubs, some of which of course could be customized to include whirlpools and jets for an additional price. They come in your choice of black, white, almond or oyster with a center drain. However, any color other than white costs a little extra. The Luna Soaker Bath Tub is 42"H x 72"W x 23"D and only costs about $635. It is an oval shaped tub in a rectangular base. The Allusion Soaking Bath is 66"L x 36"W x 26"H and costs about $700. It is a rectangular tub with curved sides so the ends of the tub rise higher than the center. For an additional cost you can increase the size to 72"L x 36"W x 26"H or 72"L x 42"W x 26"H. The Bellavista Soaking Bath comes in 2 sizes, 66"L x 42"W x 26"H for $727 or 72"L x 42"W x 26"H for an extra $70. It has an hourglass shaped interior. The Fresco Soaking Bath is 71.5"L x 42"W x 27.25"H for $765 and has a cradle like shape to help support your neck and head.
Porcher also makes a number of relatively affordable deep soaking tubs. The Bedminster 6' Oval Bathing Pool is Victorian in style, and can be purchased as a whirlpool if you so desire. It comes in white and costs about $907. This bath measures 22.5"H x 72"W x 42"D. The Calla II 72" Bath Tub is another option, measuring 24.5"H x 70"W x 34.75"D and costing $1,030. It comes in a biscuit color and is an oval shaped tub in a rectangular base. The Tetsu 72" Soaker Acrylic Tub comes in either biscuit or white and measures 23"H x 72"W x 42"D. It is a rectangular tub with a center drain. There is also an oval version of the Tetsu, which measures 23"H x 68"W x 38"D and costs $1,170. The Lagaro Freestanding Bathtub is an oval tub with a white interior and an exterior that can be customized to match your bathroom with any acrylic paint. It measures 23.88"H x 66.5"W x 31"D and costs $1,034.
