The biggest industrial lasers are utilized to cut through steel sheets of up to 0.50 inch in fabrication businesses worldwide. Lasers are a lot more exact than oxy-fuel and even plasma cutting of stainless steel, but they are also a great deal more fragile and unforgiving of flaws in the surface of steel sheet they cut. Specifically, the laser's focal length becomes unstable when there's an uneven surface topography. What happens? The quality of the cut is decreased, as is the cutting speed in many cases.
A solution to this problem has arrived. It's a new surface treatment for sheet steel that conditions the strip. It "brushes away" nearly all of these pervasive surface problems. The process goes by the trade name "SCS." How does it work? Inside an SCS "machine" large rollers with an engineered abrasive spin against the surface of the steel at speeds of 1000 revolutions per minute. This brushes off all surface contaminants, including all but a micro-thin layer of mill scale. Powerful jets of water spray away the removed oxides and other contaminants.
But fabricators care less about the mechanics of the SCS process and much more about how the resulting steel sheet lasers. Speed increases of anywhere from 15 to 50% are common when laser cutting the SCS-treated sheets. The speed improvement is attributed to the smoothness, cleanliness and uniformity of the surface of steel that has undergone the SCS treatment.
The speed increases don't just magically happen. There is typically a prescribed approach to achieving the higher speeds. Trading off laser power with assist gas pressure with nozzle diameter leads to the optimum performance point. A step-by-step procedure for performing the optimization procedure exists. OK, so what does this kind of laser cutting speed increase mean to a business? It allows four laser cutting machines to suddenly accomplish the work of five. That clearly saves money - both capital cost and operating cost factors like man-hours and utilities.
One of the companies now using SCS to turn out laser-friendly sheet steel is The Material Works, Ltd. of Red Bud, Illinois. TMW Sales Director Chris Leifer: "Fabricators demand SCS steel for many reasons but in the end it all comes down to saving money in their processes. They are crazy about how much cleaner it is than P&O. Still, the benefit that they are most hyped up about is the faster laser cutting."

Water Fuel, the Greatest Scam of the Present Times?
Since you have come to this article and are browsing through it, it is likely that you have heard about water cars or water fuel. Some are of the opinion that it is the biggest scam of present times. Gas prices are sky rocketing and one could argue it is perfect timing for a gasoline related scam. But is water fuel actually a scam? Many thoughts would have crossed your mind like "this sounds too good to be true; this sounds fishy; so why aren't the big automotive manufacturers producing such cars; why isn't the world using it to end the world's energy crisis?" etc. etc.

Sure there are pessimists with everything. When Edward Jenner was testing a 'vaccine' against small pox, back in the early 19th century people went crazy. They said that the vaccine will turn humans into cattle. There is this famous cartoon published in 1801 that predicts how people will grow cattle limbs. But have we not all had the small pox vaccine? Did we become cows? Had Edward Jenner listened to the critics, human kind may even have got wiped out by small pox.of the earth by now.

Although you and I didn't know about using water as a fuel, thousands of people have been using the water fuel technology all over the world and research on this has been going on for over half a century. So you wanna start pumping water instead of gas?
Of course NOT! Water has no fuel potential until it’s broken down into hydrogen and oxygen, a process known as electrolysis. Hydrogen known to be one of the most potent energy sources on this planet has often been predicted to replace dependence on fossil fuels like gasoline and diesel (and the middle east). In addition to powering automotives, hydrogen is also used to power entire cities in Denmark and Japan. Water can be split into hydrogen using different methods: electricity, geothermal energy, natural gas, and solar power are few examples. The gaseous product of electrolysis of water is described by many different names: HHO, Brown’s gas, Rhodes gas, oxy-hydrogen are only a few examples.
This is not a brand new science, however it was made available in the public domain only in 2006 and since then, the market has been flooded with water fuel conversion kits. The prices range from $29 to $7000 for really fancy ones. Some are fakes; some over-estimate their potential; and some can save as much as 60% of the monthly gas bill.
Water4gas is one of the most popular water fuel products in the market. But be prepared to filter out the hype.

Can anyone help me with the 5.7 stalling mystery?
I purchased a 91 chevy 5.7 1500 truck a few years ago. The truck never seemed to warm up by the gauge or the heater. I went to replace the thermostat and discovered it had been removed. My first thought was head gasket but it never lost any antifreeze or over heated. I installed a 190 and still the truck would not warm up like it should. After six months or so it started running rough or stalling when applying a very small amount of throttle or letting off throttle. It seems to be running rich after warm up. I tried a 160 thermostat which helped it to run a little warmer believe it or not. It still acts the same. I've replaced the oxy. sensor, TPS, plugs, wires cap, rotor, air filter, fuel pump, fuel filter and same problem. The truck runs great until it warms up. I would like to avoid replacing all sensors and emission goodies if not neccessary.
Unfortunately there's still some information missing i.e. trouble codes and mileage. Also have you change your coolant temp sensor? If you have, I would lean toward a vacuum leak in the area of the ignition control module in the distributor or a ground that's loose on the motor to frame or motor to fire wall.. I believe the 91 Chevy is throttle body injected with an HEI distributor still. If that doesn't fix it then you must move on to more items like the cam sensor if available or the cam.
