Is my job safe? Been cramping the last few days?
I am 22 weeks and 2 days pregnant. I work at Walmart...and I stock in the frozon section. I'm in the freezer doing stuff all the time, pulling pallets, climbing ladders and lifting...dr. said at my first appt. when I was 9 weeks not to lift more than 30 lbs. and for the most part I haven't unless no one is around and there is a couple boxes I need to move, but I use my legs. The floor in the freezer is very slick and I fell on my bottom a couple days ago. But for the last few days I have been having cramps, and they get worse the more I walk. A couple times they were really sharp in my lower pelvic area. The rest just my lower stomach. I don't know whether to call the dr. I go back on the 27th. Not sure if it's just my uterus growing or ligaments stretching or what. I've been trying to get out of that area since I found out I was pregnant but they won't move me unless I change my hours to later and that I cannot do because I only have a sitter until 5.
I think you should call your doctor. Any time you have a fall, even on your butt, it can cause some issues. You might want to just have it checked out. It is better to be safe then sorry.
