1500w Plastic Welder Gun Hot Air Vinyl + &2*Speed Welding Nozzle& ExtraHE&Rod Sale Price: $189.00 |
|
Plastic welding Gun /Plastic welder /Hot Air Gun /Hot gas welding 1500watt heavy duty Comes complete with a SPARE HEATING LEMENT, a 6mm Pencil Tip Nozzle ,a Flat tip, 1X Triangle Speed Welding Nozzle, 1X Round Speed Welding Nozzle, 1x Pressure Silicon Roller some PE plastic rod, some PVC plastic rod, an English manual 12 months fully factory warranty When talking about welding most people naturally tend to think of steel. However, though relatively less heard of, plastic welding is used in a lot of industries. This is a plastic welding technique which is analogous to gas welding of metals, though the specific techniques are different. This specially designed heat gun (hot air welder) produces a jet of hot air that softens the parts to be joined, as well as the plastic filler rod. Hot air/gas welding is a common fabrication technique for manufacturing smaller items including and not limited to chemical tanks, water tanks (black, grey, fresh & ballast), heat exchangers, and plumbing fittings. The materials being welded and the welding rod must be of the same or very similar plastic. Welding PVC to acrylic is an exception to this rule. ? Rated Voltage:110V-220V / 50Hz/60Hz Max Power:1500w (Much stronger than 1000w devices) Heating power adjustable from 80?1500W Temperature Scope:40 - 700°C (100-1290°F) Insulating Intensity:3750V Air Volume:13.8m/h Air Pressure:3000Pa Weight:1.8kgs Outside Package Dimensions: 39x13x11cm |

Here are some more information for Plastic Welder:

When you drive your car or look at a light fixture in the street or open your microwave, chances are that there is something in any of those items that has been welded. These products and others have been a part of the process of welding for more years than you might imagine.
Welding actually started a very long time ago during the Middle Ages. Many artifacts have been found that date back to the Bronze Age. These have been small boxes that were welded together with what is called lap joints; no one is exactly sure what these were used for, but this was important to that time.
The Egyptians also made a variety of tools by welding pieces of iron together. Perhaps this is where Maxwell's Hammer comes later? Who can say! Then came the rise of the Middle Ages and many people there were able to use blacksmithing for iron. Different modifications were made along the way until the welding that is used to day was developed.
There were several significant inventions in the 1800s that influenced welding included here:
- The invention of acetylene by an Englishman named Edmund Davy.
- Gas welding and cutting became known and a way to cement pieces of iron together.
- Arc lighting was a very popular part of welding after the electric generator became known.
- Arc and resistance welding become another popular aspect of welding.
- Nikolai N. Benardos receives a patent for welding in 1885 and 1887 from America and Britain.
- C.L. Coffin receives an American patent for a arc welding process.
After the 1800s many more patents and inventions were made in order to create more ways of doing welding but one of the greatest needs would come much later during World War I because this process was needed to create arms. Because of the demand welding firms became a staple of America and Europe because the war needed welding machines and electrodes to go with them.
During the war people really got a chance to look at how welding worked and it became a very popular way of work. So much so that in 1919 the first American Welding Society was begun. This nonprofit organization came directly out of through a group of men who called themselves the Wartime Welding Committee of the Emergency Fleet Corporation (Source: Miller Welds).
The 1950s and 1960s were also a significant time for welding because a welding process using CO2 was discovered and a variation of this form of welding that used inert gas became very popular in the 1960s because it produced a different type of arc.
There have been a number of improvements in the welding trade over these years and today the process has added two areas, friction and laser welding. These two have created a more specialized field and therefore more opportunities for learning.
One interesting point about laser welding is that those people who use it have found that is a tremendous heat source so it can actually weld both metal and non-metal objects.

how to repair a rear fender on a motorcycle
HOW TO PLASTIC WELD A MOTORCYCLE REAR FENDER
Using a mini-weld model 6 airless plastic welder
Cost to replace fender-$75.14 + S/H $8.94= $84.09
Cost of repair fiber-flex= $4.00 Steel mesh .50 cents
TOTAL COST OF REPAIR $4.50
So with using a plastic welder. I was able to save $79.59
1) Work Area
- Have a clean and organized work area.
- Well ventilated area.
- Remember the plastic welder is HOT. Can burn you and start a fire. Just use common sense and you'll be fine.
- Set up plastic welder. (Set welder to preheat, how your doing the next step)
2) Parts that need welded
- Check the parts to be welded. Identify what kind of plastic your working with. In this case it is fiber-flex plastic welding rod. I used fiber flex because it is easier to use. I had to cover a large area. Get out the welding rods you'll be using. Plus if you're going to use wire mesh for added strength get that out also. We will be using wire mesh for this project.
- Make sure that the part is clean. ( soap and water should work)
- Set up part to be welded on work bench. Know how your going to weld it.
- Now set the plastic welder to heat setting your going to use to weld the plastic fender.
3) Plastic weld part
- Lay out part to be welded.
- I made a V-groove in the crack and filled it with Fiber-Flex rod.
- Then for added support. I welded the wire mesh in.
- Now for the big hole. I welded the wire mesh in. I put aluminum tape on the back to help hold the mesh in place.
- Using the Fiber-Flex rod begin to fill in the large void. This is time consuming. So take your time.
- If plastic gets too hot to work with cool it off with water, not too much because your still welding.
- Do the same thing to the other large hole. And for added support do the same thing to the other side of fender.
- Now we are done with the welding.
4) To finish the part
- let plastic cool down. You can help it cool down with water. Use a spray bottle and lightly spray the welded plastic down to cool.
- Begin to sand the weld down. I use 60 grit sand paper then go to 180 grit sand paper.
- If painting part use paint made for plastic.
- If you would like to see pictures of this operation. Please go to kandjwarehouse.com

how do i power my shed?
I want to have electric in my shed to run tools (170 amp welder at the most). The shed is brick and is about 1 metre away from the house. The gap between the house and the shed has a corrugated plastic roof over it.
The main board in the house is directly in line with the shed and on the other side of the outside wall facing the shed (so just over 1 metre away). Also what type of cable is needed.
yes it is just 13 amps 240V not 200. It did have an odd shaped plug when i got it so i replaced this witH A NORMAL 13 AMP PLUG.
There is a concrete path between the two buildings so through the air will be easier. Do i use 4mm T&E
oldguyoncorner you do not need a 200 amp service to run a 170 amp welder, the 170 amps is the dc amps the welder uses. Match what you currently use for the welder. i would think a 10 gauge 30 amp wire will do it. Most likely will need to wire as 240 line, double breaker at box and odd shaped plug.
drill a hole in the house and shed, run some conduit between them and put the wire in. Since it is so close i would run thru the air instead of trying to burry but you can if you want.
