Automotive accessories have come a long way since cars started being seen on the highway. Fuzzy dice and bumper stickers used to be the extent of the accessorizing options.

After all, you have limitless car accessory possibilities these days!

The global positioning system is one of my favorite new car accessories. With it I never have to ask for directions. I hate getting lost and if I had a GPS system, I could just cruise. I hate not being in charge and my pride always hurts when I have to where to go.

With a GPS system I could go on road trips without a navigator. I wouldn't need some kno-it-all in the passenger seat telling me about which road to take or what the map says. Plus the GPS never needs to take extra bathroom breaks!

DVD players now come standard as an automotive accessory in many cars. What an advancement in technology! I love the idea that technological advances can even help to shut up the young ones on those long trips across the country.

Do you love listening to punk rock or heavy metal? I think satelite radio is the best way to hear all your favorites whether you're in a rural or in the city. What a fun car accessory! It's like a toy for grown-ups!

Do you want the outside of your car to attract the ladies' attention? I did, which is why I bought a flashing licence plate liner, rotating rims and a glowing undercarriage. Boy, did that really turn heads! I am proud to say that there are many useful automotive accessories for your car exterior.

I really love the fact that I have better automotive accessories than anyone I know. Boy do I really attact attention all over the place. I know that everyone is craving the accessories I have purchased.

But seriously, it is exciting to see how far automotive accessories come so far. I am looking forward to seeing how the technology will change in the next ten years. Fasten your seat belts!

Satelite Navigation...I Couldn't Live Without Mine

Do you have any inkling where you're going? Why don't you immediately turn around and go back to that gas station we passed about a half of a mile back? That way you can ask for directions, and then we won't be lost any longer. I don't turn around, and what's more, I know exactly where we are. Have you ever heard this routine before? Oh come on, you had to have heard it as a child.

It's the common mother and father in the front seat of the family car. The father is driving, at the same time as the mother struggles with a shabby map. I can truthfully say that I have no idea why men don't like to stop and obtain suitable directions.

It's a vice that's timeless in the XY composition. Oh well. Anyway, things are not just the same any longer when it comes to finding your destination. In truth, now days we all have access to auto navigation systems. These machines are the bomb! I don't care where you're headed.

Have you taken a gander at the new-age auto navigation systems? I had to have one of these. My elder brother got me completely hooked when he brought his over to my house to test out. I was amazed at how exact they are. You don't even have to gaze at the thing for directions. It talks to you. Heck, good auto navigation systems even let you know when you're off course. The
first time I took advantage of one was on a long journey from Salem, Oregon to Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Allow me tell right now, that is one helluva long journey. Even though you may think it's a blast, it can get somewhat hairy to say the least if you're
traveling with your family. Anyway, auto navigation systems will make the voyage a great deal more enjoyable.

You essentially just program your destination in the machine, and it takes over. Once it has your address, it will use its antenna to pin down your existing location. Then it will start routing. Simply mount the auto navigation system in your car and take off. It exactly tells you where to go each step of the way.
How awe-inspiring is that! You will in no way get lost again. So far my wife and I have used auto navigation systems on a number of occasions. They're not just for traveling a long distance you know. Take advantage of auto navigation systems at any time you please. It will save you heaps of time, struggle and aggravation.

Can't connect tv to vcr to get signal from satelite?

I can't connect my Sony 40S4100 to my vcr. I herd i don't need a hdmi cable to connect it. We did auto channel about 5 times. We have multiple AV cables and trying to match it do the diagram and it still doesn't work. It shows some blue, green and red cables. But we don't have those, but we matched them with the white, red and yellow cables. Any help please?

Does your VCR have coaxial inputs/outputs? Coax cable is the cable that you run from the cable or satellite dish to the back of the tv normally, it has a needle that runs into the tv and you screw it in. If you have those (you do if you can use the VCR to record TV), there will be 2 of them, one labeled "in" and the other labled "out". run the coax cable from the sattelite receiver to the Coax "in" port on the back of the VCR. then run a second coax cable from the VCR "out" coax to the back of the TV. When you turn the VCR on and start playing a tape, change the channel on the tv to either ch 3 or ch 4 and it should be on one of those two channels.

If you don't have coax inputs, take the red, white and yellow cables, plug them into the same colored ports on the back of the VCR that are labled "audo/video out", then connect them to the corresponding ports on the back of the TV labeled "audio/video in". start the VCR and play a tape and scan through the input channels "input 1, 2, etc" until you see it playing. If you use this option, you cant record anything, its for playing tapes only.

Let us know if these work.
