So You Want To Start A Dollhouse Collection
Many people are interested in dollhouses and miniatures, but are not really sure how to get started in the hobby. There are many types of dollhouses to choose from and they come in various sizes (scales). You can start your collection by purchasing pre-made houses or you can build your own from scratch or from a kit. Once you have erected your house you will enjoy decorating it and wiring it if you choose. You can also make or buy furniture and accessories for the dollhouse as well as fill it with people.
When starting a collection, you should choose a period or theme such as Victorian, Georgian, Tudor, or modern, etc. When you have done that, you will need to make sure you know how much space you have to work with. If you have quite a bit, you may consider collecting several houses and/or other types of buildings such as a general store, pub, hotel, cafe, or post office etc.
You will also have to search for something that matches your budget. Or if you are the adventurous type, you may prefer to use your creativity and build your own collection. Most houses are made out of wood or plastic and it is a good idea to make sure the house is pretty sturdy.
Many enthusiasts like to map out scenes for their collections and are very fussy when it comes to detail as they like every aspect to be very realistic. This gives them a great deal of satisfaction when they display their collection.
You will be able to buy dollhouses and miniatures from a variety of places for various prices. These include toy shops, and specialty and collectibles stores. You should also have some luck adding to your collection at various trade shows and may even be able to find some interesting items at garage sales and auction houses. There are also dozens of online retailers that deal in dollhouses and miniatures. Many of these sites sell them and may even have a section for people to trade their houses.
You should also be able to find some used items for sale or trade on sites such as eBay. You will also be able to see photos of the items before deciding if you want to buy them. If you are buying new goods over the internet, make sure you get some type of guarantee or warranty with them. And it is also a good idea to purchase insurance to cover against loss and damage if you are having items shipped to you.

Bullet seating past crimping groove?
I am new at reloading and I am having trouble seating the bullet. Im loading a .270 with a COAL of 3.24" All of my brass is chambered to my rifle and I use a collet neck sizing die on all of them. When I try to seat the bullet to the match the COAL it drops past the crimping groove and drop down into the case. This only seems to happen to some of my rounds. Am I just seating the bullet to much or should I crimp the bullet?
There are some tips to get past this problem. Maybe your cases are stretched from previous firings. Make sure they are trimmed to the correct length before loading. Another issue is whether you need to stay at the textbook OAL. Take a bullet and put it in a case without powder. Do not seat the bullet but just get it started. Chamber it and push the bullet in with the rifling. the bullet should stay in the case. Check the OAL them, and set your rounds just short of that length. You will get better accuracy with the bullets set to maximum chamber length so that they have little jump to engage the rifling. This also will reduce chamber pressure on your rounds. I also load 270 and this has been my system for many years. I actually made the dummy rounds for each bullet wieght, and kept them for future use.
