How does dry cleaning work? I took my jacket to the dry cleaners? will it be safe?
I think my jacket is 100% cotton and the buttons fall of easily but it needed to be cleaned so i took it to the dry cleaners? It says on the tag that it can b dry cleaned but should I trust the cleaners? I dont know exaclty how these close get cleaned so does anyone know? Do the closthes get wet? or steam washed? Where can u get our clothes steamed?
Dry cleaning is basically a surface clean... It doesn't "Wash" it but it basically gives it a touch up so that you can wear it a number of times without having to actually wash it.
Anything that says "Dry Clean Only" can be washed by hand, in a sink, with something mild like Woolite then dried by laying it out on a large towel and ROLLING IT UP and pressing on it to suck out as much water as possible then either hung to dry or put in a COLD dryer on Delicate.
You can Dry Clean a jacket 10+ times with "Normal" wear before it gets dirty enough to actually require a wash.
