Here are some more information for Steel Welding:

Shielded Metal Arc Welding is also known as Stick Welding and Arc welding. Its all the same thing. No matter how hard the American Welding society tries to get people to call things by the proper name, welders will continue to call it what they learned when they first heard of it...Stick welding and Arc Welding.
I have even talked to some people who are new to welding that think Old School Stick welding is obsolete...that Mig welding has replaced simple stick welding...that stick welding is only used by old farmers and welding students learning how to weld.
Boy are they wrong.
Stick welding may be old school but it is still one of the most best ways to "stick" stuff together. And the best part is that getting started is really cheap. All you need to get started arc welding in your home shop is an arc welding machine, a welding helmet, some gloves, a chipping hammer and wire brush and bamm!, you are all set.
The reason I say it is so simple is because the equipment is simple with only 1 or 2 knobs to learn, and welding different metals is as simple as changing the welding rod. Mild steel, stainless steel, and cast iron can all be welded using a simple a/c buzz box stick welding machine. Anyone can go online to Craigslist local listings and find a welding machine for 200 dollars or less and be welding at home the same day. (if you have the right power receptacle)
Two inexpensive arc welding machines I recommend and that are frequently for sale on Craigslist are the Lincoln 225 A/C tombstone welder, and the Miller Thunderbolt...and if you can score a deal on an arc welder machine that also has DC Direct current settings, do it because DC current while not completely necessary , will open up some possibilities later on down the road.
Not only can you use a wider variety of welding rods, but DC current will let you hook up an air cooled scratch start tig torch if you want to get started tig welding later. Now that is a good tip.

Steel Re Rolling Mills in India
General definition of Steel - an alloy of iron with small amounts of carbon, widely used in construction because of its life and hardness, mechanical properties can be varied over a wide range get ready for something difficult or unpleasant.
Presently in all over world various industries are making use of steel rolling mills. They are using highly durable products and all latest machineries used in manufacturing units
Hot Rolling Mills - A metal working process where large pieces of metal are heated above their temperature and then deformed between rollers.
Cold Rolling Mills – it is a part of steel re-rolling process. Cold rolling mill is the area where any cold complex and represents an important investment cost. For all types of medium & heavy mechanical engineering equipments, cold rolling mills can be used.
Bar & Rod Mills – The mills creating bar and rods are known as bar and rod mills. Process for manufacturing bar and rod mills require international quality norms in manufacturing facilities. Bar and rod mills are used for manufacturing important products such as tire steels, welding steels, cold heading steels and more.
Structural & Blooming Mills - The use of Structural and blooming mills are for producing blooms, any length of rolled metal having almost square cross section. Apart from its use in both hot rolling and cold rolling these mills can play a important role in achieving thickness, length and width.
Strip Mills - Fabrication from superior quality steel, strip mills are highly reliable and durable. Strip mills are available for high and medium capacities. Output from a Strip Mill is coiled, used as the feed for a Cold Rolling Mill or used directly by fabricators.

What type of respirator filter should you use when welding galvanized steel?
I have a North full face respirator, but I'm not sure which is the right filter to use when welding galvanized steel. I think it might be the organic vapor filter, but I'm not sure.
Welding on galvanized metal can be dangerous. The best bet is supplied air. This would be preferable over any filter. Always make sure there is good ventilation, too.
Welder constructs his largest harrow
An Elaine area welder recently received a request to construct an 18-row harrow (60 foot) in his welding shop just outside Elaine’s city limits. He's been welding and putting together 12-row harrows, which cover a 30-foot span for quite some time. His most recent effort is his biggest.
