Here are some more information for Tank Pump:

The answer is Yes and No.
This all depends on the driver at the time the light comes on.
Depending on the manufacturer of the vehicle the light can come on very early and give you a lot of miles before any harm can be done to the pump, some a lot less. None of the manufacturers will tell you exactly how long you have or exactly how many gallons are left in the tank before you run out. They will only say that you have a "couple"or a "few"gallons left in the tank when the light comes on.
The fact is they don't want you to know. They don't want you to ride around with the light on. They want you to get to a station as soon as the light comes on and add more fuel, they want that light out at all times.
They would rather have you believe that you are going to run out of fuel in just a short matter of time. You might think this is cruel, having the idea of pushing your car, walking miles to a station and then you still have no fuel can to put anything in, or even the expense of a tow truck running through your mind.
No it is not cruel, it is only beneficial for you to believe that.
In some or most cases shortly before your low fuel light comes on your fuel pump is totally submerged in the fuel you have in your fuel tank.
Having the fuel pump submerged will keep the fuel pump "cool" and the fuel in your tank will draw any damaging "heat" that the pump generates itself away from the pump.
Also the manufacturers will tell you to fill your tank to full when it gets to half a tank to keep "moister" out of the tank, not only will it keep moisture from building up but it will keep you pump even "cooler" because your fuel injection will return warm fuel back to your tank during operation, so the more fuel you have in the tank the cooler everything else in there will be.
If the driver continues driving with the "Low Fuel Light" on the fuel level drops lower exposing the fuel pump, it is no longer totally submerged. It is still being cooled by some fuel but damaging "heat" is now staying with the pump and not being drawn away by the fuel as it was when totally submerged. The farther the driver continues now, the "heat" generated by the fuel pump itself will continue to rise and cover more "surface area" of the fuel pump itself.
Also remember that the fuel injection is still returning warm fuel to the tank. That fuel is not being cooled either, further introducing heat more rapidly.
This is still awhile and some miles to go before you run out of fuel, if the driver continues the entire fuel pump may be exposed and have no cooling at all. This is the most damaging to the pump itself.
In this case the fuel pump is "It's own worst enemy" the heat it generates cannot now be drawn away as fast as it could as if it was totally submerged. This will cause premature failure of the fuel pump.
The expense of changing a fuel pump in today's world is astronomical, the pumps themselves are very expensive, and the labor time is long.
This is also a very dangerous job to do, very dangerous!
If you are a driver that lets your tank run down until the light comes on, or worse yet has got it timed so you just make it to the station before it totally runs out of gas, or you know somebody that does this, tell them and think about it yourself what the consequences could be.
Your pump will last a very long time with care, and the care is keeping it submerged.
At the very least time it so you put fuel in just before the light comes on, this is one light that should be kept off at all times.

Just beyond Atlanta; Conyers Septic Tank Pumping Gets Done Right
Just outside the Atlanta area you can find Conyers. Septic tank pumping is a regular event out here, and if you want the job done right, you hire the professionals who have some history.
After the floods of last fall, much of the area found itself in need of septic service and as a result all sorts of people crawled out of the woodwork in the hopes of making some quick money. With the ground saturated and winter coming on fast, it is easy to fall prey to such individuals; fortunately, there are some real professionals around.
Picking the Right Company –
When you are thinking about a structure as critical to your comfort as your septic system, you really want to make sure that you get good service. It takes time to get to know the local laws, the conditions of the soil, the level of the water table and how flooding will affect everything.
Look for a company that has been in business at least five years (preferably ten) and ask them to provide references. If a company has something to hide they are going to be very reluctant to provide you with the phone numbers of someone who can verify their lack of professionalism.
Understanding the Task of Pumping –
Pumping out a septic tank isn’t brain surgery, but it isn’t elementary either. There are several steps that must be followed for the job to be done properly. Just dropping a suction hose into the tank won’t do the job right; the system must be inspected for problems and leaks, the tank needs to be evaluated and the material needs to be removed the right way.
It can seem like a good idea to save a bit of money on septic pumping by picking a company that will charge you less. Under many circumstances such budget-mindedness can make good sense. However, when it comes to septic systems, making the right choice is more important than it seems on the surface. The few dollars you might save up front have the potential of costing you a lot more if an inexperienced technician damages your tank, blocks your outlet or ruins your leach field.
About the Author
The floods have barely begun to recede, but if you own a septic system, your troubles may just be starting. Shady operators are always waiting in the wings to profit from someone else’s misery. A reputable septic company like A Town Septic will give you straight answers and help you get your system running again.
