Here are some more information for Tig Gloves:

Gloves for welding are an essential item to keep the welder safe on the job. While there are many different pieces of equipment that are designed to protect you, welding gloves are one of the most important. Not wearing them can lead to serious injury on your hands. When this is part of your livelihood you can't afford to be harmed because you weren't prepared.
Outside of the gloves for welding there are some other safety precautions you should take to make sure you remain safe while on the job. Accidents are usually easy to avoid, and can be cost you more than just your life.
First thing you should do is make sure all your metal connections are grounded. They should never be painted or covered in other materials. It is also important that you don't have any metal for grounding that isn't approved.
When operating your welder, make sure that it is set down flat and not surrounded by flammable sources. If it is wet in your work area, take the time to clean this up to avoid the risk of any electrical shock. With your welding gloves on inspect the flame and other areas. Use soapy water to inspect the hose to see if there are any leaks in the gas connector that could lead to a dangerous situation. If there is any problems with your equipment repair or replace them before starting a new job.
Safety glasses are important while operating your welder. Take the time to make sure you have a high impact pair, and then make sure you also have a welder's mask that you used in combination with the safety glasses to help prevent eye injury.
When you are wearing gloves for welding, remember that objects will still be hot. Never directly pick up a welded object with just your welding gloves. Instead, use a pair of pliers to help keep you free from injury. Another important consideration to make is if there is enough ventilation in your workshop to operate safely. If there is a window, open it and have a fan help to keep dangerous fumes from filling the room. If there is only a door that leads to another part of the house, this isn't a safe enough solution for your welding.
Keep in mind that your helmet and welding gloves are protecting you from another dangerous source that they welder creates. The arch in the welder is full of radiation. This means that you are putting your body in serious danger without the proper protection. Check to make sure that your auto darkening helmet meets the required standards and your gloves for welding fit properly.
Take the time to verify that all your gloves for welding are in good shape. Look over all your equipment to make sure it meets the regulations that OSHA has for welding. If there is ever any uncertainty or uneasiness about any job you are looking at doing, keep in mind that your overall safety is you top priority. While jobs may come and go, once you have injured yourself the healing process may never get you back to 100%.

Why are welding helmet chosen for welding?
Welding is considered to be an important part in construction and in metal fabrication. It is a method of heating the metal and joining it with other piece of metal. Welding is mostly used in automobile, metal fabrication, aerospace, underwater and at home. But there are certain things which should be given more importance than welding like safety. Welding is an unsafe process which includes variety of sources like gas flame, ultra rays, electric beam and many more. This source can affect your body if you are not protected against it. So protect your self by wearing safety equipments like welding helmet, gloves and boots.
Welding Helmet:
This is mainly for protecting your face against harmful gases and lights. These also protect you from breathing harmful fumes which comes out while welding. Your face and eyes can become an easy target while welding. You will find many varieties of helmets but a good quality helmet is when there are certain components present in it such as:
* Shell: This should have an eye piece than can resist against heat, electricity and impact. The eye piece should be opaque so while welding the light will automatically dim by it.
* Retainer lens: The work of this lens is to stop the pieces from getting into your eyes which comes out while welding. These are generally made out of plastic that's because the pieces can break the glass.
* Filter Lens: The welding helmet consist of filter lens which should be made out of glass. These filter controls the light which can affect the eyes. Each filter has different property and they are seen in more than 10 shades. If the filter lens has more number of shades then the amount of light passed through will be less.
* Gasket: This is made from heat resisting material which insulates the heat of welding. This generally placed in between the filter lens and cover lens. The gasket is mainly for protecting the welder from heat changes like high voltage. If this isn't place between the cover and filter lens then there is a possibility of damaging the filter lens.
* Outer cover lens: The outer cover lens of welding helmet is for preventing you from scratches and U-V (ultra - violet) rays. If an outer cover plate is made out of polycarbonate plastic then it will surely protect your face from U-V rays.
Apart from these you will also find auto darkening helmets which are very good protection while welding. The advantage of this helmet is you don't have to change the lens for darkening during welding. This helmet is dark when you haven't started welding and again darkens when you stop welding. There are some helmets where you need to take out helmet for changing the lens.
