Windows Media Player CD burner wont work?
I've been trying to burn a CD for the last couple days, and it just refuses to. It says on the left side (there are no items on this cd.) like it's suppose to. I open the playlist, and I click "burn cd" and it will act like its 'inspecting' the first track for a couple seconds, and then just stops with no error message. I have restarted the computer, and tried to burn it to High MAT audio, but still it does the same thing.
I didn't think it was the CD burning device itself because I figured the program would have done the "configuring" of the files anyway. But the little green light on the CD drive is not on (but honestly, I never noticed if it was suppose to stay on or not.)
I also had a registry problem that was giving me different problems with my burner a few months ago, but I had that fixed and at the time it would display an error message.
So what should I do? Does anybody know if it is a program issue, or my actual burner?
It sounds like you might be having problems with your burner. While the burner is burining, the green light is always on until the burning is complete. Here is a way you can find out if it is configured, first, you would click on my computer, then cick on the drive that your cd burner is installed, then right click and click on eject. If your cd drive opens then that will tell you that it is configured and your problem would be that your cd burner is no good. You would have to install another burner. Hopes this helps!
