The 3 most popular Military Specification Flat Washers that we offer are MS15795, AN960, NAS1149, and NAS620. These specifications were originally formulated by the Armed Forces of the USA to standardize fasteners being used on military equipment. Over time they have become a popular choice for designers in all industries and programs. All of these specs call out the same material - a 300 series Stainless with passivation. The differences are in the manufacturing tolerances, and the different dimension traits. the first choice should be the MS15795 series, which has the largest OD, and the largest hole diameters. Second choice should be the NAS1149 series. This has a smaller outer diameter, and a tight tolerance on the inner diameter as well as the thickness. AN960 offers an equal to the NAS1149 but with a larger tolerance on the thickness. NAS620 should be the last choice - this series has the smallest outer diameter, and the widest range of thickness tolerance. Made in the USA. These flat washers are produced in the USA for excellent quality conformance. One of the significant differences between less expensive imported products and ours are the way we stamp. Many cheap imports are produced on gang dies that produce 10 or more washers per stroke of the press. Using such a large die means that the individual washer sets are not adjustable - when the punch wears, the dimensions change and there is no way to fix this as the press produces washers, leading to a large variation in the finished part. Materials available in many other countries are not as consistent as the domestic steels we use, which gives the imports a cheaper cost, but can lead to failures and inconsistencies when the products are used. The Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) was created to address this problem. Our materials are DFARS compliant although we do not supply the certification except on special order. |

Component Flat Washer, Brass, Round Shape, USA Made, 3/4" Bolt Size, 0.781" ID, 1.625" OD, 0.156" Thick (Pack of 5) Sale Price: $21.04 |

Component Flat Washers are named for their original popularity as a component of a jig or fixture, where a thicker washer was needed for the extra strength and load distribution properties that accompany the extra thickness. Our Component Washers are available from #4 screw size all the way thru 1-1/2" Bolt sizes. All Component Washers are thicker than any standard washer in general use. We provide two lines from stock - Thick and Extra Thick. Smaller diameters have a 5/64" thickness, going all the way up to 3/8" thickness, with the 1/8" thick line being the most popular. These washers are either stamped on power presses or turned on our lathes depending on the quantities we manufacture, and the wall thickness of the washer, which is the relationship between the thickness and the Inner Diameter dimension. All of these are suitable for use anywhere extra strength is needed. Brass material offers excellent corrosion resistance, are non magnetic, soft, and are an attractive gold color. Made in the USA. Fender Flatwashers were named because of their original use in auto body repair. The large outer diameter covered up a lot of area, and also spread the load across a wide area of thin sheet metal. In todays world these washers are used in electrical, construction, HVAC, and general industrial applications. The purpose of a washer is to spread the load from the head of the bolt across a wider area than the bolt head, which increases the strength of the joint. Fender washers do this well because the outer diameter is so much larger than the diameter of a standard flat washer. These standard (thin) Fender washers are manufactured in Steel Zinc, 18-8 Stainless Steel, and Type 316 Stainless Steel. Made in the USA. These flat washers are produced in the USA for excellent quality conformance. One of the significant differences between less expensive imported products and ours are the way we stamp. Many cheap imports are produced on gang dies that produce 10 or more washers per stroke of the press. If you are running a business, you are going to have employees at some point. How you handle these employees from performance reviews, to potential promotions to even helping keep your staff as happy and productive as possible is going to determine how overall happy your employees are and how high their productivity level is.
Employees who feel valued are going to put more time and effort into their job than those who feel they are being taken advantage of. This is an obvious fact that is perfectly normal; however helping your employees achieve their best is your job as a business owner and their boss.
Realize that one of the most powerful tools you have, as a boss is the performance review. This is your time to discuss with each employee their performance over the last six months to a year and discuss how they feel they have performed. It is a great time to talk about goal for the next few months or year as well and also a great time to talk about how to make their job more enriching for them. Never use a performance review as an excuse to beat up on employees.
A good rule of thumb is to only discuss problems in the performance review that have been addressed before. Never spring a new complaint on an employee before the review; this is a good way to make them feel as if they are being attacked.
Always ensure that you are clearly outlining a performance plan for each employee. This could include employees picking up an additional responsibility, or even outline any additional training that they will receive. This helps the employee feel as if they are being valued, rather than feel as if they are being abused by their boss. Having performance reviews in a place that is quiet and calm is also a good idea to help keep the tone calm and less formal.
For your employees that you are interested in keeping it may be a good idea to invest in some training for them to help them improve on their jobs. This can include communication classes, leadership skills, or anything else that can help them improve on their job and arm them with the skills and qualifications they need in order to do their job effectively.
Remember, it is much cheaper to pay for training for current employees rather than spend all of the time and money necessary to hire a replacement. If you are strapped financially but still wish to offer these types of courses, you may be able to contact a training consultant who can train your employees together to help you ensure that your employees still receive the training they need to be successful at a price that you can afford.
If you are looking for a new employee to fill an upper management or even a higher position, start looking within your own employees first. This can often be a much better solution rather than simply looking to hire from outside your company and hoping you select the right applicant. When choosing from the employees you already have it is possible to already know the person's strengths and weaknesses and help make the best decision, rather than simply hoping you made the best decision.

UK and Usa Soccer the Difference
Noticeable Differences Between US and UK Soccer
I am a former amateur soccer player from the UK and I have noticed a big difference in the way both countries appear to treat soccer at the junior or children’s league level.
For a country that invented the game you can probably understand, after reading this, why English soccer is not the world force it should be. In fact it’s so far behind the majority of the world it’s become an embarrassment.
From the International squad all the way down to schools soccer England FA is failing the fans of the sport.
Firstly at the moment English soccer teams are being bought out by business men who care very little about the traditions of the English game and secondly the influx of foreign players coming into the English game.
How can that possibly affect the game at school level? Simple, the kids who are playing at school know that for most of them, no matter how talented they are they will never make it to a major club. So any chance of realising the ambition of playing for their country is well out of reach. So why should they make the effort.
OK I concede all the big clubs have academies were the kids, not with talent but whose families have money, can attend. Saying that though how many actually make it through to represent their country, less than 5%.
This Problem affects the game from the very top all the way down to schools soccer.
In England much the same as the USA we have kids leagues, but these are school teams, not individual teams were various kids from different backgrounds come together to form a team. In England it makes soccer elitist. My reason for saying that is this. If you have 200 children (ball park figure) in each form, 15 kids may get selected for the team. What that means is this, kids from impoverished homes or kids who are taken care of by the state do not get the same chances as those from working class backgrounds. So what happens to the other 185 kids? Well in amongst those kids you may get some who have a gift for playing. I’ll explain further.
As a kid growing up there was very little for the kids to do in the town we were living. So some kids with imagination formed a small soccer league. Only about 5 teams if I remember but the way you got into the team was to not play for a school team. This was a conscious decision because the idea was that we would eventually take on the school teams and show what talent really was.
We managed to get local businesses to buy uniforms for us, not decent stuff but uniforms just the same. Shoes were more difficult, there were kids going through trash cans and charity shops to find them, if they were too big you would pad them out with paper.
Now wait, I am supposed to be talking about gifted players well this is what I mean by a player not being given the chance to prove himself.
My cousin and I had managed to scrape together 12 kids of varying shapes and sizes and fitness. We then had to find somewhere to practise. There was a school at the back of my mom’s house called Ellis House, this was a school for kids with learning difficulties or “mentally handicapped” as they were called in the 70’s, this place had a ¾ length soccer field complete with goals. The house gave us permission to practice and to play our games there. It would be entertaining for the people in the house.
I remember one particular practice session. There was a kid who resided in the house who would religiously watch us. So one day my cousin invited him to join us. Not thinking he would be any good we felt it would be a nice gesture. This kid turned out to be brilliant, seriously good. So we invited him to join our team. I think by now the number of teams in the league had risen to about a dozen. Suddenly because we had the guy from the home in the team we were the brunt of much ridicule, until that is the teams played us. We had our own ground our own changing rooms and our own supporters........... Ok they were the residents of the home but none the less they were loyal fans.
The point I am trying to make is that if it hadn’t been for us this kid because of his disability would never have been given the chance. The same applies to the other 185 kids in school. They would never be given the chance.
In the USA they have things sorted, soccer is not confined to schools and the kids for the most part have never met. They meet by playing soccer, the other great thing is co-ed teams. It’s great to see boys and girls playing the same sport to the same standard rather than segregation.
For a country that invented the game how come we have dropped so far behind the rest of the world in our own national sport. England are currently 15th in the world rankings and falling. The USA are currently 28th and climbing. All this is the fault of the money men at the top. England can’t even get an Englishman to take charge of their national side.
As long as the USA has the grass roots of the game sorted as they do now I see a bright future for the American Kids who love the sport of soccer. For England I see a different picture, I see the game falling apart, I see kids losing heart because there is no point in playing the sport they love.
I see a point in time when the USA will move ahead of England in the world standings and I see it sooner rather than later.
Bear this in mind too, The USA are top of the ladies international league, England are 11th almost 300 points behind. If the English football association cared they would do something to reverse the trend.
Truth is they just don’t care enough

I would say the best size to get would be a size 4. It might be a little big at first, but with socks, they'll work. I always buy my daughter's shoes a size too big so she can grow into them.
