Brand New Industrial Grade 3-in-1 DIGITAL Inverter TIG/MMA Welder, AIR Plasma Cutter Sale Price: $445.95 |
|
This auction is for a brand new 3-in-1 multi-functional welder. This welder is made with advanced inverter technology, and they have three functions: TIG/MMA/CUT. The inverter power is the power that first changes 50/60HZ working frequency to high frequency (as high as 100KHz) with high power factor V-MOS, and then reduces the voltage and rectifies, and then output with PWM the welding and cutting power of high power factor. By using the inverter technology of switch power, the weight and volume of the mains transformer greatly reduces, while the efficiency is raised by over 30%. When working as MMA or TIG, the outer characteristic is constant current and the welding current doesn't change with the length of the arc, the current is very stable. When working as CUT, the arc is compressed by the rapid-circulating air, and then its temperature reaches 10000-15000"C in the state of ionization, thus turning into strong plasma arc. The plasma arc into cutting makes the energy more concentrating, and gets smooth arc surface, which may take convenience for later work. This industrial grade welder can be widely used in welding and cutting carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, copper and other nonferrous metals. It's portable, efficient, energy-saving and stable, and the exchange cycle of the assembled machinery can be as high as 85%. |

Here are some more information for Welder Inverter:

One of the things you learn if you have a small Miller Dynasty 200 a/c d/c inverter Tig welder is how to do welding on thick aluminum castings with less amperage. I have had the opportunity to weld with two really popular Tig welding inverters that are capable of Tig welding aluminum using 115v or 230v power; the Miller Dynasty 200dx and the Lincoln Invertec v205t. Both machines are high quality power sources but both of these welding machines are limited to around 200 amps output. Being limited to 200 amps makes you weld smarter not hotter. Instead of just setting the amperage to 275 and plowing ahead like you would on a heavy duty Tig Welding Machine, you have to use your head. Preheating thick aluminum parts is a proven way to reduce the amperage required to weld. But when you are in your garage and do not have access to a heat treat furnace or oxy-fuel torch, how do you preheat? Well, here are a few tricks I have learned:
Use a gas grill. But make sure the aluminum part to be welded does not contain anything harmful that is going to taint the burgers you might want to cook next week. (It would actually be a good idea to have a cheap grill dedicated for preheating aluminum parts)
Wrap the part in aluminum foil and place it on the stove on medium heat until the heat conducts through the part. (About one or two beers later the part will be warm enough to weld)
Use a small propane torch and keep it moving until the part is hot enough. (Just hot enough to sizzle spit should be ok.)
Another tip for reducing the amperage needed to Tig weld aluminum is to use a 50/50 or 80/20 argon/helium gas mix. The added helium really makes a difference. Not only will you need less amperage, but the aluminum will puddle quicker and cleaner than with pure argon. Trust me on this one!
Lastly, I recommend using as small a Tig cup as possible. Some people refer to them as Tig welding nozzles but in any case it is the ceramic tip that goes on the end of the Tig torch that directs the shielding gas to the weld and protects the tungsten electrode from being oxidized. Using a small Tig cup requires less shielding gas. For example a #7 cup might require 15-20 cfh whereas a #4 cup will only require 8-10 cfh. That much less gas blowing on the part makes a big difference in the amperage required. In addition to this, the arc energy that is dissipated in the form of cathodic etching (also called cleaning action) will only go where there is gas shielding so there is extra arc energy available to be focused at the weld puddle.
I reminded myself of all these tips just last night when I welded a 4 inch machined ingot of 6061 aluminum using a Miller Dynasty 200 amp Tig welding inverter. I needed to replace some material that had been miscut by a machine shop on a prototype part that already had a lot of machining time invested. I used the exact welding tips I mentioned earlier in this article: I placed the part on the stove and preheated it to around 200 F (exactly one beer). I used a 50-50 argon/helium mix, and I used a 3/32 dia thoriated electrode with a #4 ceramic Tig nozzle. I was really surprised when I only needed about 170 amps to get the job done, even though the part was pretty massive.

Designing Tensile Fabric Structures Process
A fabric structures is membrane/ or fabric under prestress ( tension ) stage. A structural elements and supporting system required to maintain the tension form of a tension membrane structures. Two shapes are evident in tension fabric structures.
A. Anticlastic structures with two double in opposite curvature. These type of structuresShape carried many free tension fabric forms. Example of pure tensile fabric structures.
B. Synclastic structures with two double curvatures in the same direction. Example of Air supported structures.
Anticlastic curves take a wide variety of free forms but are commonly made up from some basic shapes. The fabric structures form are cone, arched vault and the hypar.
The Cone in a Fabric Structures
- Single cone, multiples cones, fixed edge at the parameter of cone, catenary edges/ or cables edge at the parameter of the cone, variations in overall peak heights, or inverted cone (cone upside down).
The Arched Vault in a Tension Membrane Structures
- Parallel arches or crossed arches.
The Hyper in a Architectural Membrane Structures
- Two opposing high points and two opposing low points.
Fabric structures give natural diffuse light but with reduced heat load. The high reflectivity of the white membrane fabric is very efficient. An very good alternative to polycarbonate or glass as a roof glazing system.
Light penetrates into tensile fabric membrane with natural light and at night the artificial light provide an ambiance of great appeal to many people.
In day time the light transmission is typically 5% - 20%, it is just sufficient to eliminate or greatly reduce the need for artificial lighting in day time. With little or no artificial lighting a heat load is reduced. Absorption of solar energy in the fabric structures is typically 4% to 17%.
With colored fabrics, in particularly dark colored fabric membranes, the absorption of heat is very high and the re?radiated effect can be strong and therefore unpleasant. For this reason white should be chosen for enclosed or shade structures in tensile fabric structures application.
Fabric structures offer both the roof and the cladding in one element, the tensile membrane structures provides all of this in one structural element. Therefore the structural element is important for structural appearance and can be seen in most of the fabric building: -
(a) Seam and Curve in the tensile fabric structures reflect tension forces hence create eye catching character.
(b) Structure, lighting, fire sprinkle and other expose elements in the space compliment each other.
Some of the practical advantages of Tension Fabric Structures and shade Sails Structures are:
(c) low maintenance compare to glass;
(d) factory manufacture of the membrane minimizing site interruptions;
(e) Membrane factory welded into single weatherproof skin eliminating expansion joints;
(f) large span with more coverage;
(g) Designed for rapid construction.
REINFORCED FABRIC MEMBRANE TYPES
Two fabric membrane types are commonly used in tension fabric structures:
I PVDF/PVC Coated Polyester Architectural Fabric
(Polyvinyl DeneFlouride)
II PTFE Coated Fiberglass Architectural Fabric
(PolyTetraFluoroEthylene)
I TENSILE FABRIC STRUCTURES - PVC COATED POLYESTER
This material has been widely used for fabric structures for over twenty years. The material is easily handled and welded using fabric structures high frequency welders. International convention has defined four grades of fabric based on mechanical properties, weights and strengths increase up to grade IV. The project engineers usually make fabric selection after shape analysis. The grading and types depend on fabric manufacturers.
There are several types of PVC fabrics classified according to surface coatings see below.
The PVC coated polyester fabrics offer significant cost advantages over PTFE coated Fiberglass fabrics.
The life span of a PVC coated polyester architectural fabric should exceed fifteen years.
(a) Acrylic Typically used where the fabric is colored. This type of fabric does not have as good properties for self cleaning or for life expectancy as compared with PVDF or PTFE fabrics. Acrylic coated can be welded conventionally without any surface treatment. Warranty 3-5 years and for smaller structure.
(b) PVDF (Polyvinyl DeneFlouride) coating This coating has excellent theoretical properties for long term clean ability and protects the PVC and polyester. All architectural fabric should be specified with antiwick base fabrics. Wicking is the problem where water creeps internally along the thread lines of the fabric leading to unsightly staining of the fabric and possible de lamination. Warranty for 7-12 years depend type and made of fabric.
II TENSILE FABRIC STRUCTURES - PTFE (PolyTetraFluoroEthylene ) COATED FIBREGLASS
PTFE is chemically inert and offers excellent self cleaning properties, fire resistance and life span life spans typically exceed twenty five years.
PTFE coated Fiberglass is very expensive but is competitive with glass. The main problem with PTFE is that it requires very careful handling during the construction phase. The installation of PTFE coated Fiberglass fabric requires much more care and more complex detailing than the PVC coated polyester fabrics.
The fabric for tension fabric structures is not weldable with conventional high frequency equipment but uses a special iron. Particular properties of PTFE allow it to be welded and unwelded using the same machinery. This allows damaged panels to be repaired on site.
How to choose Tensile Fabric Structures between PVC/Polyester and Fiberglass fabrics
There are several factors that need to be considered when building a Tension Fabric Structures and Shade Sails For Fabric Building:
1 Budget
2 Long term project economics
3 Function
4 Fire rating
5 Lighting requirements
7 Aesthetics
4 COST CONSIDERATIONS FOR FABRIC STRUCTURES
The most effective structures have the following characterisctis:
1) large spans with minimum number of comers and edges which min membrane plates corners;
2) Symmetry or module;
3) Edge detailing, structural support and finishes;
4) Complex design and heavy engineering work on very difficult design.

Shopping for a 115v stick welder for home use?
Been looking at one of these. Can anyone tell me a little about the brand name and possibly the welder? Hard to find small 115v stick welders.. I want to build my own small boat trailer and do some projects with metal up to 3/16.

Campbell Hausfeld WS210000AV 115 volt Stick / Tig Inverter
$333.95 + Free Shipping
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Technical Details
Inverter technology eliminates weight for amazing power in a 10 pound package
5-110 Amps of smooth DC power to weld up to 1/4 in steel in a single pass
Uses 1/16 in to 1/8 in electrodes of all fluxes
For a little more info: I am attending a welding class and use Miller gmaw and SMAW 230 volt machines. However, at home I do not have that type of power source. All my work will involve mild steel only.
Hope the boat isn't aluminum. A dc machine will not do it you will need an ac machine to weld aluminum. And 1/4" aluminum will need around 200 amps which puts you in a 220 volt power range machine. stick with a Miller, Hobart, Thermal Arc, Esab, or Lincoln machine if you want to be happy with it.
