what is a good apprenticeship to do for someone who is studying civil engineering?
if you know apprenticeships in australia that'd be great? and could u please explain what would be expected of me in the apprenticeship? like welding, cutting or what?
the only one i can think of is a boilermaker, but i'm not quite sure what they do exactly...
Are you really studying civil engineering? Because welding, cutting and boilermaking are mostly related to mechanical engineering, not civil. Welding is indeed related to civil, but engineers don't weld anything, just specify weldings on paper, and your shop experience would do you little good (if any). I don't know what's available in Australia but try working in the field with a topographer. You'll learn something valuable.
