Strength of soldering?
how strong is a soldered area
i want to make a slingshot into carabiners(the climbing things, also used as key holders)
i guess i would wrap the middle part with some chord in case it fails
that way a chunk of metal wont come flying at my face
three carabiners two for the fork an one for a handle
and the soldering goes in the middle
i would weld it but cant afford welding equipment
i was thinking of taking them to an auto shop so they can do it for me.

silver solder would be the next option
you can also braze the connection.
lead solder is not very strong.
any machine shop can weld or braze for you. If it is simple, they might not even charge you.
