Your Scooter runs like crap, has no power and is very sluggish - you know it and I know it, so let's fix it!
The main stay of our scooter business is repairs and high-performance-upgrades (HPU). Everyone wants a scooter with some zip, pizazz, and some get-up-and-go. All of us hate how slow our scooters go and wish there was a solution. The good news is... there is.
If you own a Chinese scooter, I for one, am a fan. They make a great engine and a great transmission. The bummer part is many of the other components are low quality and cause most of the problems. So at our shop, we simply replace the cheap parts with American parts, and poof, we have a top grade, fast scooter (fast enough to get speeding tickets - just don't ask). I own the fastest street-legal scooter in my town, and here is the step-by-step how you can have the fastest scooter in your town. Here are the parts we replace when people bring their scooter into our shop and ask for a High Performance Upgrade:
o Air Intake System - We completely remove the entire air intake system and we simply replace it with a UNI Racing air filter. We aren't trying to turn our scooters into racing bikes, we are just giving them the air they want to run at their best.
o Spark Plug - We replace that cheap Chinese 49 cent Spark Plug with a high performance NKG Spark Plug. O yeah; now we are talking some power. You'll get more power off the line.
o CDI - The CDI in our Scooters is the brain, it also has the Governor in it. We replace the CDI (yes I realize yours is working fine) with a No-limit CDI. This will get you 3-10 MPH faster.
o Engine Oil - We get rid of that oil that came with the Scooter from China. It's not good quality oil. We change that out immediately with a top grade American Oil.
o Transmission Oil - These scooters use 'gear oil', not transmission oil - but it's the same story. We replace this oil so now our machine is full of American made quality products.
o Fuel Lines - These are one of the key ingredients. The Fuel Lines that come on these scooters are low quality. They collapse very easily when any stress is put on them. We replace all the fuel lines with 3/16th ID (interior diameter) American Made hose. Even the Hulk can't collapse these hoses.
o Air Lines - We use the same hose type to replace all the air lines to/from the carb and engine. These can also collapse and ruin your top-end speed.If your scooter chokes out near top speed, this is why.
That's it. Find those parts and replace them and you'll have the fastest scooter in town.

Metal Hose Reels: Stainless Steel, Aluminum and Steel Hose Reel
Metal hose reels can be manufactured from steel, stainless steel or aluminum. They are valuable material handling tools for environments where industrial machinery depends on the delivery of fuel, oil, water, compressed air, or high voltage power through larger diameter hoses at varying pressures. Metal hoses are designed to ergonomically extend hoses for use and safely retract hoses after use. This helps extend the life of the hose because it minimizes abrasion and snags. It is also benefits the worker on the ergonomic level, because the hose reel does the work of dispersal and retrieval through either a hand crank or automatic retraction mechanism of some sort.
Steel hose reels are normally used for heavy duty applications where strength, stability, and rigidity are required for safe and efficient operation. Most steel hose reels are preconfigured prior to shipping for either floor mounting or ceiling mounting. Most can be adapted to mount to the wall by ordering a wall mounting bracket.
Aluminum hose reels are intended for sturdy, compact, and lightweight alternatives to plastic or polypropylene models, both of which lack the strength and rigidity of metal equivalents.
Steel, stainless steel and aluminum hose reels are engineered and classified differently to fit different environments, types of equipment, and process flow demands. Each engineering feature or classification represents a determining consideration when you purchase a unit, and all three levels of consideration must be balanced to make the best possible choice.
The first of these considerations is the size of the hose the unit is intended to support. Heavy duty units are needed for hoses that feature exceptionally large diameters and require a large hub onto which they can be safely retracted. Hose size further breaks down in to PSI capacity, hose length, and low pressure, medium pressure, and high pressure delivery power.
Metal hose reels are also engineered for specific types of hoses and cords. There are entire series lines dedicated specifically to the safe manipulation of electrical power cords. Welding equipment requires specially designed steel hose reels made exclusively for use with welding cable. Others units are designed to manage hoses made from rubber or other synthetic materials that are used to deliver pressurized air to tanks, fuel to tanks or engines, oil to parts, or high voltage electricity.
Finally, both aluminum hose reels and heavy duty steel hose reels are categorized according to their retraction mechanism. Some lighter hoses are easy to manipulate and can be managed with hand crank retraction. Others require an automatic method of retrieval, which comes from either motors that drive the reel, or spring mechanisms that provide automatic retrieval without dependence on external power sources. Determining which method of retraction to invest in is both an ergonomic consideration and a safety issue. Some environments contain highly combustible fuels or fumes that can explode if ignited by a spark. Retrieving a hose onto a metal reel too quickly in these environments can lead to static buildup, so a special spring-driven series has been developed that retrieves at only 20% the speed of other reel types and eliminates static buildup on and around the hose.
It is absolutely essential to obtain a unit that is capable of both the dimensions and intended application of the hose you need it to support. When it doubt, always recommended that you first talk to a material handling specialist to make certain the model you have your eye on is indeed the best possible choice.

What can i do to fix the intake manifold?
I have a 2000 crown vic, it has a stock plastic manifold.
It has a small hairline crack just below to heater hose line that goes into the top of the intake ,that is leaking coolant down and down into the combustion chamber where the spark plug is &causing misses.
What glue or epoxy can i use to repair . Can i use the JB weld epoxy? Please be specific. I know this is a temporary fix but i cant afford to pay 300 for a new intake.
The crack will probably get bigger over time right?
Well I think you are in luck. If you are the original owner of this, you may be able to get it repaired under warranty. And let me explain why. Ford is well aware of premature intake manifold failures on the 4.6 liter and has offered a new design on them.
Mention recall number 05N04 which mentions extended coverage for the intake manifold. This recall ended in late 2006 but I know some people who made enough noise and got their manifold covered under warranty.
Don't be confrontational about it. Be courteous about it and they may meet you in the middle by offering to pick up the part if you pay the labor.
